As a country girl from the parish of Westmoreland, the second child for my parents, while having 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Now married with 2 children I live daily to be an example for them. Living by the philosophy that “The Sky is the Limit” I have grown to see, and experience that the sky reaches infinity and beyond, hence the birth of “SKYHIGH”. This has been my driving force and reason to keep moving forward with business developments, ideas and endless self and professional development. I am an exclusive Mathematics and Physics Lecturer, Education Consultant, Academic Coach and Assessment Specialist with over 15 years of experience in the education sector, teaching locally and abroad where I had the opportunity to meet brilliant minds I am now so proud of. I obtained a Bachelor’s of Engineering Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s of Science in Mathematics Teaching both at the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTECH) which gave me the foundation skills I needed to think outside of the box and learn to challenge myself. I went on further to read for a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of the West Indies (UWI) where I focused my research on the development, use and treatment of school assessment data. Providing students, parents and institutions with optimal assistance in mastering foundation skills along with teaching the curriculum, has always been a passion of mine. Proven track record of competitive student performance in PEP Mathematics and Ability, CSEC Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English Language , CCSLC courses and CAPE Mathematics and Science courses, motivated me in seeing students reach their desired goals with pride and ease. I am performance driven and detail oriented, hence my reason for expanding my brand to provide students at high schools from grades 7 to 9 with tutorial sessions on all topics covered in the National Standards Curriculum, along with the Sciences and Business course at the CSEC and Cape level. All due to the talent and ability in me to thrive in high pressure environments. Committed to working hard and serving my students, parents, schools and my community, these experiences lead me to possess excellent time management skills combined with superior knowledge of student services.
