The student is fully assessed as to their level of competence in basic grammatical structures. This assessment determines the level of preparation that is needed for them be successful in their exams.

Material covered includes grammatical structures, the usage of grammatical principles, vocabulary, punctuation and spelling.

Following exam syllabus, the student is prepared in areas of comprehension (listening and reading), debates, critical thinking and summaries. Various essay formats are examined, such as narratives, creative and story writing, report and expository writing, descriptive and persuasive writing and the exciting exploration of poetry and prose.
