Negril Education Environment Trust

This is in Negril on the beach road across the street from @travellersbeach after the storm calmed down. We went to asses the damage of the building of where my family’s non-profit @neetjam is housed. We were able to save a lot of the computers. This is where we offered wifi and classes to students during Covid. This is also the administration office There’s a lot more damage to asses all over. I will try to continue to keep you all updated as much as possible. Right now there is no cell service in Negril. Both @digiceljamaica and @flowjamaica are down. My brother rigged up a temporary internet solution. We are working on something more permanent #jamaica #negril #hurricanemelissa

We removed a total of 20 bags of garbage and waste from the Orange Bay Fishing beach.

In the spirit of International Coastal Cleanup Day 2024, Volunteers, students, teachers and community members joined hands to make a difference.
