A HUGE thankful to Abeka Books Abeka Christian School for donating over US$5,000 worth of teaching materials and students books to replace those that were lost in the Hurricane. They arrived today! GRATEFUL! 🙏🏼🇯🇲❤️😃

Happy New Year! 🎈Last Monday, Day #68, we started the new term still without power!🇯🇲 But by the end of the day, electricity was restored! 💥 So thankful! Great to see all the smiling faces! 😃We may be in somewhat make-due classrooms, but the learning & fun continue! 🧠 Thank you for your encouragement and support! 🙏

🎄Christmas looked a little different this year at MBCA.🇯🇲However, we still finished off the term celebrating Christ’s birth and having a great time! 🎉 Thank you again to all who made reopening school so quickly after Hurricane Melissa possible! 🙏🏽Day 52 with no electricity or water.💪But we remain hopeful they will be restored by the new term in January. 💚Thank you students, staff, parents, friends and supporters! ❤️ Humbled and grateful by your kindness and generosity. ✨Merry Christmas!

💚We welcomed back the K’s through Grade 3 today, who joined Grades 4-6 from last week! 🇯🇲There were lots of stories and catching up! 😁Everyone was happy to be back together again! 🙏🏽 Thank you all for your help.

Every day more progress and more miracles! We were given huge tarpaulin rolls from@crisisresponseinternational that were donated by Samaritan's Purse. We had awesome dads come out on Friday, and one dad messaged he was sending some workers from his job site. About 8 Chinese professional construction workers jumped right on the roof and got to it! They came back yesterday, and by mid morning today, Sunday, they were finished! Now we will not have to sweep out all the water each time it rains! It had been starting to leak to the first floor! This is a huge help! Once again, we have seen God daily show up! So much to be grateful for!

Thank you! We are making progress! Today was a staff clean up day! It was awesome to see some of our staff who made it from hard hit Westmoreland!
We were so blessed by CCCD- last week they helped to cut up the fallen trees! Over the weekend, they had a team from Michigan who worked so hard in removing it all! One day at a time! Thank you all again! We will keep you posted!

More Clean-up, Salvaging, Packing and Moving! Today even more parents, staff and students came out! Much was accomplished! Care packages were assembled too! Your help is much appreciated! "Thank you" seems so inadequate!

Clean-up continues! 💪

We cleared all the standing water from the lower and upper classrooms and worked on removing debris and rubble from upstairs.

It was amazing to see staff, students and parents come together to help.🙏

We are giving thanks for life and know we are just one of many stories across western Jamaica affected by this storm.
