Yesterday, the school community proudly celebrated Teachers’ Day at Clan Carthy Primary School as the newly elected PTA Executive Team organized and led a heartfelt devotional program in honor of our dedicated teachers.

The special occasion featured inspiring reflections, words of gratitude, and the presentation of tokens of appreciation to the educators who continue to shape, guide, and inspire our students each day.

The devotion and gift presentation were led by PTA President Rebecca Miller and supported by the committed executive team: Vice President Petagaye Forrester; Secretary Shantel Givans; Assistant Secretary Hyacinth Johnson; Treasurer Shelly-Ann Brown; Assistant Treasurer Diandra Gopie; PRO Kwesi Bailey; and Assistant PRO Tishawna Thomas.

We are truly grateful for the unwavering commitment, passion, and dedication our teachers pour into the lives of our children every single day.

Thank you for all that you do to educate, nurture, and empower the next generation.

This morning’s devotion was extra special as we acknowledged the incredible contributions of Dr. Nsombi Jaja – Motivational Speaker, Business Coach & Mentor, and Certified Consultant – along with her assistant, Mrs. Joan Davis-Williams, for their outstanding training and development work with our school management, board members, and staff.

The awards were proudly presented by our own Head Boy, Michael Masters, and Head Girl, Danae Carty.

A heartfelt appreciation was shared by Mrs. Winsome Reid, Principal, and Dr. Mortimer Mullings, School Chaplain, with a warm vote of thanks delivered by Steven Ellis, Vice-Chairman.

Thank you, Dr. Jaja and Mrs. Davis-Williams, for inspiring and empowering our school community!

Clan Carthy Primary School recently hosted a successful Earthquake Drill, made possible through strong collaboration between ODPEM, the Ministry of Education & Youth, the Jamaica Fire Brigade, and the school community.

Special thanks to Acting Sergeants Indian Jones and Marvin Gayle of the Jamaica Fire Brigade for their outstanding leadership and guidance throughout the exercise.

We also acknowledge the support and participation of Region 1 Education Officer Mrs. Masters-Williams, Principal Mrs. Reid, Vice-chairman Steven Ellis, along with teachers and members of staff who all played a vital role in making the drill a success.

Preparedness saves lives...together we’re building safer, more resilient schools.

It was a nourishing start at Clan Carthy Primary as today marked the official start of the Breakfast Program at Clan Carthy Primary School, proudly sponsored by Allied Protection Limited.

Parents, staff, and students expressed heartfelt appreciation during this morning’s devotion, celebrating a partnership that ensures our children start each day fueled for success.

From Clan Carthy Primary to North Street, the blood runs deep!

These dedicated St. G.C. Old Boys recently paid it forward by presenting laptops and essential school supplies to the newest Georgians: Najay Lindsay, David Nicholson, and Jariq Sinclair.

Congratulations to these young men on their successful PEP journey, and a big salute to the Old Boys for ensuring the next generation of Georgians are equipped for excellence.

What a joyful and inspiring celebration we had for Teachers’ Day at Clan Carthy Primary School! 🇯🇲

The day began with a heartfelt devotion led by our PTA President, Miss Rebecca Miller and her wonderful members, setting the tone for a day filled with gratitude and appreciation.

We were honoured to welcome Chief Education Officer Mrs. Terry Ann Thomas-Gayle, Deputy Chief Education Officer Mrs. Winnie Berry, and several dedicated Education Officers who graciously stepped into the classrooms, giving our teachers a well-deserved break from their daily duties.

Our amazing educators were treated to a delightful breakfast, thoughtful tokens of appreciation, and soothing massages—true pampering for their tireless work!

A standout moment of the day was the visit from Senator Dr. the Hon. Dana Morris Dixon, Minister of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, who brought energy and excitement to a Grade 4 math lesson!

It was a day to remember—one that uplifted and celebrated the heart of our school: our teachers.
