A job well done! Micholyn Hurd is a phenomenal individual who has given of her time and effort to the growth and development of UDPSS. She served in the capacity of Director of Public Relations and Marketing in the 2017/18 AY and Editor-in-chief of the Society's magazine in the 2018/19 AY. Miss Hurd is the recipient of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communication Arts and Technology.
As a Society, we are proud and honoured to have played an integral role in your UTech, Ja. journey. We know that your best days continue to be ahead of you. Walk good!

Excellent! We are pleased to have had as a member of our Society. We congratulate him on accomplishing a Bachelor of Law (LL.B) with Honours. Mr. Clarke is a true leader of high calibre. We will not forget his contribution to the advancement of the mission of UDPSS. Mr. Clarke served excellently as the Student Representative for the Faculty of Law where he championed the rights of students. He played an instrumental role in highlighting the discrimination faced by UTech, Ja. students in accessing education at the Norman Manley Law School. Mr. Clarke was also a strong advocate for the establishment of the UTech, Ja. Law School. Continue on a trajectory of excellence Mr. Clarke.

We congratulate our President 2017/18 on the completion of a significant milestone in her academic journey. Miss Gyles is now holder of a Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) in Actuarial Science (Hons.) and an educator at the Wolmers Boys High School.
Miss Gyles served the UDPSS with pride and passion. Her work in the Society continues to set the platform for greater successes for our noble organization. We are delighted to celebrate with her as she prepares to start the next chapter of life. Well done Kristen! Continue to be a good UDPSS amabassador of integrity, honesty, and humility.

Congratulations! We extend hearty congratulations to on completion of her Bachelor of Science (Bsc.) in Occupational Health and Safety (Hons). Miss Minto has contributed immensely to the growth of UDPSS. Her dedication and commitment to the Society saw her serving on the executive committee as Director of Public Relations and Marketing (2018/19) and Secretary (2017/18).
She has represented the University under the auspices of the Society at the World University Debate Championship (WUDC) in Greece (2016), Netherlands (2017), and Mexico (2018). She also represented the University in the Pan-American Universities Debating Championship in Panama (2019).
Miss Minto was awarded the title of Best Debater on the island by the Jamaican Association for Debating and Empowerment (JADE) Limited in 2018. Well done Patrice. We will certainly miss you!

On Monday, October 21, 2019, we participated in the annual Northern Caribbean University Debate Invitationals (NCU IV) 2019. This high-level tournament saw majority of Jamaica's tertiary institutions coming together to participate.
UTech, Jamaica's team, comprising (4th Year, SCIT) and .tomlinson (3rd Year, FELS), won all three matches from round one to round three. The team advanced to the grand finals on complete score, making it the team with the highest score in the tournament. In the finals, the team was placed fourth (4th). This ranked the team as the fourth best team of the thirty-two (32) teams in the tournament.

The leadership of the Society extends thanks to everyone who supported us at Clubs and Societies Day earlier today.
We copped the second place award for the best club/society at the event. Your support ultimately led to this feat.

Successive administrations of the Society have worked assiduously to increase the frequency of team trainings. This administration is pleased to be extending team training to a second day of the week.
