" No country can achieve sustainable economic development without substantial [and deliberate] investment in human capital" - Ozturk 2008
Education is unquestionably the primary driving force that equips citizens with the knowledge base, skills, values and attributes essential for global competition, and sustainable development. By 2030, Jamaica's development goal anticipates a robust, globally competitive economy, and socially conscious, productive “educated" Jamaicans. With only eleven (11) years remaining we must take stock of the 21st Century skills required, evaluate and recommend new strategies to arrive at our anticipated future.
The Mico University College invites academic researchers, educators, and policymakers, to submit papers on any of the thematic areas for Research Day 2020.
The national conversation on this important process begins now.
