The scholarships will cover the entire cost for the student to attend school each academic year, this includes tuition, books, lunch and travel.

The SFP Pocket Rocket Foundation was born out of the desire of two time Olympic 100m gold Champion, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, to create lasting change in the lives of student-athletes and children in children's homes across Jamaica. Through donations and fundraisings, the foundation will provide scholarships to high school students (2nd to 6th form) who represent their school in any sporting discipline. Further, the Foundation will be assisting Children's homes across Jamaica as well as partnering with ISSA in hosting two PR/Etiquette seminars annually for student athletes representing their schools locally and internationally.

Our 2025 scholarship recipient Peta-Gaye Gray, a 6th form student at The Convent of Mercy Academy (Alpha), delivered an engaging and articulate message as the Guest Speaker for our 2026 Handover Ceremony. This naturally shy Netballer has transformed in front of our eyes in just one year. Peter-Gaye was one of two Pocket Rocket Foundation scholarship recipients who travelled to Oregon to attend the Black Student Athlete Summit earlier this year, courtesy of Vituity Cares Foundation. She continues to demonstrate that given the opportunity and platform, we all have to potential for greatness! The Foundation, continues to create avenues for our recipients to develop lifelong skills for success. 🙌🏾🚀💯🇯🇲💫

All the feels for Feel-Good Friday! 🥹💙🧡

Yesterday, the Pocket Rocket Foundation welcomed 20 new student-athletes into the family during its annual Scholarship Awards Presentation.

Amid the excitement, we paused to ask our newest scholars to describe how they were feeling in one word—and their answers captured all the joy, gratitude and anticipation in the room.

Now it’s your turn: what one word describes how you’re feeling today? 👇🏽
