IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members—advised and proctored by an IEEE member, and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch—compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems.

Hi everyone,

So the is coming up. Just a 1-hour introduction to programming showing that everyone can learn to code but we just have to start early.It's held from Dec 8-14 but we're going to be extending that to the 19th.

How can you get involved? Do you teach at primary or high school? Host a session by signing up here: http://hourofcode.com/us
No knowledge of programming? No worries. The site is turn-key and requires only that you're enthusiastic about introducing your students to the awesome world of programming.

Not a teacher? Then we're inviting you to bring your children out to the sessions being hosted by us in the Mona School of Engineering for Grades 1-9.

We believe but it takes that first step. Start with a 1-hour introduction.
