Ready, Set, Code!

Today we took another massive step in our preparation for the new school year with a Micro:Bit Train the Trainers Workshop that was held at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, the British Council and the National Education Trust, we are ensuring that our teachers fully understand the micro:bits functions and are comfortable enough to integrate it in their lessons this school year.

As micro:bits are being distributed to schools islandwide, we are making sure our team is ready to support it's effective use in the classroom.

Members of e-Learning Jamaica Company Limited, the National Education Trust, the British Council and the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information recently met for a one-day workshop focused on the effective use of the micro:bit as part of the STEAM in Education Project.

The workshop was designed to strengthen the knowledge and practical skills of attendees in order to pass this knowledge on to teachers for their integration in the teaching-learning process.
