️⃣ If you can't explain how an investment makes money in one sentence, don't invest in it yet.
️⃣ Don't let cash sit in a low-interest account while you're paying high-interest debt. That math is working against you.
️⃣ Investing every month usually beats waiting for the "perfect" time to start.
️⃣ Before chasing high returns, make sure you have an emergency fund. Investments aren't meant to cover next week's surprise expenses.
️⃣ Reinvesting your earnings can have a bigger impact than increasing your monthly contribution by a small amount.
️⃣ Don't judge an investment by last year's performance alone. Ask how it's performed over the long term and through different market conditions.
️⃣ If checking your investment every day makes you anxious, you're probably watching it too closely.
️⃣ Never invest based solely on a friend's success story. Their goals, timeline, and risk tolerance may be completely different from yours.
️⃣ A higher return usually comes with higher risk. If something promises both high returns and no risk, ask more questions.
🔟 Before putting money into any investment, know how and when you can get it back. Not every investment is easy to cash out.
