ILE’s online format allows you to join scheduled classes from wherever you are, whether that is Kingston, Portland, Portmore, elsewhere in the Caribbean or overseas. There is no daily campus commute and no need to relocate just to get started. What you do need is the commitment to show up, participate and keep moving towards the goal you have set for yourself. One subject should not make you count yourself out of a future in law.

We hear it often: “I do not have Maths, so I guess Law is not for me.” Math is not an entry requirement for ILE’s Pre-Law Certificate. The programme requires 5 CSEC Subjects, including English.

If you have been quietly ruling yourselves out because you don’t have the CAPE subjects or Math, it may be time to look at the route again.

If you got your CSEC results last month and are still trying to figure out what your next step looks like, you have not missed your window.

You do not have to put your ambitions on hold or settle for an unclear path. At the Institute of Law and Economics (ILE), our 7-month online certificate programmes meet you right where your qualifications are:

⚖️ Pre-Law Certificate (7 Months | 100% Online)
• Requirements: 5 CSEC subjects, including English A. (Mathematics is NOT required.)
• Outcome: Build a solid legal foundation and prepare for degree-level matriculation.

📑 Paralegal Certificate (7 Months | 100% Online)
• Requirements: 3 CSEC subjects, including English A plus Mathematics or Principles of Accounts (POA).
• Outcome: Gain direct, practical skills for legal support roles in firms, corporate legal departments, and public agencies.

Both programmes offer flexible online delivery designed to fit around work and family commitments.
