New Day Primary and Junior High School

As a part of the Homecoming Week you are invited to take a tour of the school with the principal , teachers and students on the 29th June,2016. The tour runs from 10am to 2pm and Mr McDonald and his teachers will take you through your old haunts (you can even sit where you used to sit) .Immerse yourself in the smells, sounds and taste of your days at New Day (If you can still fit in your uniform wear it). We will ask Mother Wells and Mrs Ormsby Salmon to be at school that day to add another level of that old time New Day feel.
Mr McDonald and his team will give you the history and anecdotes of New Day we even have old albums you can view , who knows you might spot your 10 year old self!! The principal will also outline his plans for New Day over the next 3 years and how you can Help. Lunch will be served at the school by 12 pm and we are asking for a minimum donation of $1000 Jamaican dollars per person to offset food cost . You can also donate if on the tour you feel the need to contribute to a specific project.
Take a few hours from work that day to relax and come reminisce with us!!

Dear Alumni and Friends:
The New Day Primary and Junior High will be having its Homecoming Week from the 28th June, 2016 to the 3rd July, 2016. The week will be full of activities to celebrate the achievements of the school and its alumni, with these activities we hope to re-engage the alumni and Community to support the school as we journey into the 21st Century. Three of the events are Fundraisers as the school needs funds to improve the quality of the infrastructural and the educational products offered to the community.
The school is over 50 years old and needs upgrading to make the classrooms and bathrooms more comfortable for students and teachers. We would also like to improve the security of the institution by upgrading the parameter walls and improve the lighting at the institution. As part of our improvements we would also like to offer courses in barbering, hairdressing, enhance our Mathematic and sporting programmes so we need to generate space and equipment for these upgrades. All Funds from these Fundraisers will be focused on these Upgrades.
The Homecoming Committee has formulated a series of events which will be Nostalgic and fun filled in order for you get a chance to renew old friendships and see teachers who helped to nurture you during your time at New Day.
The week will begin on the 28th June, 2016 with a Meet and Greet Cocktails
29th June Tour of the School
30th June Graduation Ceremony
1st July Lyme
2nd June Gala Homecoming Dinner
3rd June Church Service at Stella Maris Church then Brunch
