🩸 : WHY IS BLOOD LEAKAGE AT THE PUNCTURE SITE?

During venipuncture, you may sometimes notice blood escaping around the needle. Here are some possible reasons:

1. Inserting the needle too slowly
A slow, hesitant insertion can increase tissue trauma and make it harder to enter the vein cleanly.

2.The skin was not anchored properly
Failure to pull the skin taut can allow the vein to move or roll as the needle enters.

3.The vein is large and superficial
A large vein close to the skin's surface may be more easily penetrated or damaged during insertion.

4. The vein is fragile
Delicate or easily damaged veins may leak blood even with appropriate technique.
