The Alpha School of Music community is mourning the loss of Tim Receveur, a friend who felt like family. We send condolences to Tim's wife April, his children Paige and Brody, and their extended family.

Tim founded the Supernova International Ska Festival with April. Tim and members of the Supernova Ska family not only took the time to visit Alpha and but for the past 5 years Tim has helped make it possible for staff and students to attend the festival. We all have been fortunate to know how caring and considerate Tim is.

Please use the link below to see some of our special memories of Tim on the Alpha website...

Happy belated birthday to the one and only Miss Pat who celebrated her special day yesterday. An entrepreneur at heart, Miss Pat not only helped to build a record shop in the 60s and 70s, Randy's Records in Kingston, but also VP Records Retail NY and , a Jamaican record label where the world goes for reggae and dancehall today. Since retiring from the day to day of the music business, Miss Pat has made it her business to build communities and community resilience through financial and in kind support. Alpha students, staff and the whole Alpha community have benefited from Miss Pat's investment of her time, her knowledge, her connections and her support for the arts. Strength and Blessings Miss Pat!
