Universities Caribbean: The Knowledge Community of the Caribbean

The consortium Universities Caribbean has initiated THE CARIBBEAN ACADEMIC FORUM (March 25–26, 2025), it is a key regional gathering to shape contributions to the XVI Regional Conference on Women in Latin America and the Caribbean. We have co-organized the forum with strategic partners Eclac Cepal , the UWI IGDS Institute for Gender and Development Studies The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus , ONU Femmes ONU Mujeres UN Women , and IDRC / CRDI the International Development Research Centre.
Bringing together civil society organizations, political leaders, academics, and youth representatives, this forum will explore care policies, gender justice, economic resilience, climate action, and sustainable development, while also contributing to the international research agenda on these critical issues.
Thanking Martinican artist Marajo for her fascinating art work “Volcanic Medusa” featured on the event’s visual. The forum will offer simultaneous English-Spanish interpretation.
