Not every customer service task should be automated.

AI can help businesses respond faster and handle routine requests more efficiently, but when an issue affects a customer’s money, claim, or trust in your organization, a human should remain within reach.

In this Workforce Edge Live snippet, Michael Mullings shares a practical rule for business leaders:

Automate the transactional, not the consequential.

Because if automation takes a customer 80% of the way and then fails, it does not feel like innovation. It feels like frustration.

The goal is not just to use AI.
The goal is to use AI in a way that protects the customer experience.

Sixty-four years ago, Jamaica reached a defining milestone when we gained independence from the United Kingdom and stepped boldly into our own identity as a nation.

Jamaicans are bold.
We are diligent.
We are hospitable.
We are resilient.

As we celebrate 64 years of independence, let us honour how far we have come, take pride in the strength of our people, and continue working together to build an even brighter future for our beautiful country.

Happy Independence Day, Jamaica! 🇯🇲

AI won't make customer service training less important.
It will make it MORE important.

As AI begins to handle routine questions, basic requests, status updates, and repetitive tasks, the issues left for customer service teams will often require more judgment, empathy, communication, and problem-solving.

That means your people need to be prepared for higher-stakes conversations, not just faster workflows.

The customer service queue is changing. Is your team ready for what comes next?

Customers don’t want AI amnesia.

When someone explains an issue to your chatbot, they should not have to start from scratch when they reach a human agent. That kind of disconnected experience creates frustration, slows down resolution, and weakens trust.

AI should make customer service smoother, not more exhausting.

The goal is a seamless handoff where your team can see the customer’s issue, understand the context, and continue the conversation with care.

That is where training matters.

Equip your team with the skills to communicate well, handle difficult interactions professionally, and create customer experiences that build loyalty.

Customer expectations are changing.

AI has made fast service a reality, but it is not enough on its own. Customers also want clarity, context, and the reassurance that they can reach a real person when the situation requires it.

In our latest Workforce Edge Live conversation with Michael Mullings, CEO and Founder of ChatFlow, we explored what businesses must get right as they introduce AI into customer service.

The takeaway?

AI should make the customer experience smoother, not colder.

Your team needs the right balance of speed, personalisation, and human judgment to build trust in every interaction.

They also need the right training. Register your team for our FREE customer service workshop! Register here > https://zurl.co/TNyge or click the link in our bio.
