It is important to care and to support those who need it, but what happens when it becomes too much for you?

The cost of caring shouldn’t be your own well-being. Secondary Traumatic Stress is a real physiological response that happens when your brain processes someone else’s trauma as its own. You aren’t “weak” for feeling the weight of the stories you hold; you’re human🩵

The work continues!🙌🏾 Honored to have shared KAHLE’s Stress Management and Resilience presentation with the British High Commission team. We give thanks for Collette Smith who led an impactful session on thriving through challenges, not just surviving them.

KAHLE Journey was proud to be part of the final workshop of the UNDP Ministry of Justice & Constitutional Affairs, Jamaica Social Justice Project, led by Tracy Reid and our very own Verol Billett.

We give thanks for the impactful facilitation from Justine and Kimesha. Sessions like these create space for meaningful dialogue, reflection, and action toward a more just and trauma-informed society.

⭐️Project STAR in action at Sir Clifford Campbell Primary!⭐️

KAHLE Journey team members Justine and Kimesha through Project STAR, engaged with parents and teachers in a meaningful discussion as we continue to share resources such as our Tuff It Out and Buil’ series. It is vital that we explore how our cultural attitudes toward hardship can shape the way we respond to stress, trauma, and emotional challenges🙌🏾
