🎄✨ Christmas Brunch Highlights ✨🎄

On Thursday December 19, 2025 we treated our students to a special Christmas Brunch. It was a small moment of joy during a season that has not been easy. Although Hurricane Melissa left our school without electricity, it certainly didn’t leave our students without light.

No bulbs, no switches… but plenty smiles 😄
No current on the compound, but positive vibes flowing freely ✨

For a few hours, the laughter, music, food, and togetherness powered the classrooms better than JPS could. This was our way of reminding our students that even in dark times, care, love, and community still shine bright.

Enjoy a few snapshots from the day 📸
Because Christmas cheer doesn’t need electricity — it just needs heart ❤️🎄

Meet Jayden Norman, a shining example of determination and grit from Peggy Barry Primary and Infant School.

At this year’s Jamaica Teachers Association Primary School National Track Meet in the Under 13 100m event, Jayden sprinted his way to an impressive 3rd place finish — an extraordinary achievement for a student competing in track for the very first time.

But what makes Jayden’s story truly remarkable is the courage he displayed leading up to the championship. Just a week before the big race, while training at Petersfield, Jayden suffered a serious spike injury. The incident required immediate and costly medical care, and would have discouraged many.

Not Jayden. Despite the pain and the setback, he refused to quit. He insisted on representing his school and parish, even though he was still recovering. His determination paid off — he stood proudly among the medalists, earning not just a bronze medal but the admiration of everyone who witnessed his resilience.

Jayden’s journey goes far beyond the track. He has blossomed from being a laid-back student to one who worked diligently and secured his first choice placement to Frome Technical High School — with a placement score comparable to students accepted to top schools.

His story is a reminder to all our students: obstacles may come, but with courage, focus, and an undaunted spirit, success is possible.

We are proud of you, Jayden! Keep running towards greatness.
