Robbin Kapsalis – Vocalist & Vocal Coach

Robbin Kapsalis carries Chicago's soul in her commanding voice, blending traditional blues
grit with contemporary spirit. Born on the Southside, amid the city's legendary blues scene
and later shaped by Atlanta's musical heritage, she delivers performances with the
passionate power of Sharon Jones and the raw intensity of Koko Taylor — while crafting her
own distinctive sound.
Her reputation soars as she tours throughout Europe, captivating audiences from intimate
clubs to major festivals. Her critically acclaimed solo debut album The Blues Is In The
House has earned a Blues Music Award nomination for Best Emerging Artist Album — a
testament to her artistry and her role not just in preserving the blues tradition, but in
helping shape its future.

As an active member of the U.S. Blues Foundation, Robbin is deeply committed to the
growth and preservation of blues music beyond the stage. She proudly participates in Blues
in the Schools (BITS), an educational community-outreach initiative dedicated to keeping
blues music alive by introducing it to students of all ages — bringing history, culture, and
the joy of the blues directly into classrooms and communities.
Now, Robbin brings that same passion and artistry into the studio as a vocal coach for
children and adults. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that a great singer is
built from the inside out — mastering the fundamentals of tone and technique, while
developing the confidence and stage presence to truly command a room. Whether you're
stepping in front of a microphone for the first time or looking to refine your performance,
Robbin meets every student where they are and guides them toward finding their own authentic voice.

With Robbin, you won't just learn how to sing — you'll learn how to perform.
