🏎️ STEM Racing is back for 2027, and registrations are now open!

Following a brilliant year that saw nearly 300 students take part, we’re looking forward to seeing even more young people across Jersey design, build and race their own mini F1 cars.

Open to students aged 9–18, STEM Racing gives teams hands-on experience across engineering, design, project management, business and marketing, before putting their cars to the test on the track.

The Jersey Regionals will take place in January 2027, with top teams getting the chance to progress to the UK Nationals, and secondary teams also competing for a place at the World Finals. 🏁

🎤 Meet your host for the 8th Annual Jersey TechAwards: Jo Caulfield.

Jo is a comedian, host and comedy writer who has worked on some of the biggest shows in British comedy.

She’s been a regular warm-up performer for Have I Got News for You for many years, as well as appearing on the show herself, alongside appearances on Mock the Week, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

The Observer has called her “one of the finest female comics at work”, while The Scotsman put it more simply: “quite simply, a damn funny woman”.

On Friday 16 October, Jo will be joining us at the Royal Jersey Showground to host the 8th Annual Jersey TechAwards and celebrate the people and teams making their mark on Jersey’s tech community. 🌟

A full room for the first of our Working with Claude: Essentials sessions yesterday. 👏

The course was completely sold out, with attendees joining Seb Lawson for a hands-on introduction to getting more from Claude in their day-to-day work.

Session one focused on using Claude properly, from writing prompts that get better results first time to using Projects, web search, research, Styles and Skills.

The group will be back on Friday for session two, looking at how Claude can work across Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

A full afternoon of AI at the Digital Jersey Academy 💻

Today, we’ve welcomed young people for our Junior AI Workshop, giving them the opportunity to build practical AI skills, create their own AI-powered project and explore how they can use those skills in their future careers.

They’ve spent the afternoon learning from Seb Lawson, Charlie Miles and Jacqui Patton, covering everything from AI fundamentals and hands-on building to personal branding and career positioning.

And now, it’s on to the networking 🤝

Our recent Non-Executive Director recruitment attracted an outstanding response from individuals across Jersey's digital community and beyond, bringing a remarkable range of experience, expertise and perspectives.
