French Trip
We had a wonderful time in Dinard on Friday 12 June, despite the travel delays.
The sun was shining, and the students enjoyed exploring the area where we will be establishing a link with a new French partner school.
It was a short but very rewarding visit, and the students were amazing, great ambassadors of the school.

Eco News
A huge congratulations to Helier, our Eco Champion from last term!
Helier was awarded a special prize after winning the fact-finding challenge about Sir David Attenborough, which was held to celebrate his 100th birthday.
This term, we are looking forward to choosing our next Eco Champion. The award will recognise a pupil who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to caring for the environment and has made a positive contribution to eco projects and initiatives throughout the school.
Keep up the fantastic work, and good luck to everyone hoping to become our next Eco Champion!

Year 7 - Commonwealth Games
A group of Year 7 students were invited to attend a Commonwealth Games Activity Day, held at the Les Quennevais Sports Centre earlier this week.
The day was a great success, in spite of the rain! The students were amazing and tried out six different sports/activities on the day.
It was a pleasure to accompany them for the day.

Geography News
Our Year 9 Geography students recently completed an urban fieldwork investigation, providing them with the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a real-world environment. Through collecting, and recording data, students developed their understanding of urban geography while strengthening key geographical fieldwork skills.
The experience enhanced their ability to investigate geographical issues and draw evidence-based conclusions about urban environments.

Lost Property
We appear to have accummulated a large number of black coats and water bottles, all shapes and sizes! These items have been collected up from around the site and are now in the Head of Year Office.
If you, (your son/daughter) have lost either of these items please go to the Head of Year Office and take a look. It would be great to reunite found items with their owners!
As I am sure you will understand we cannot hold these items indefinitely and if they are not claimed by the end of June we will find a suitable charity to donate them to.
Those items that are named have been reunited. it would be amazing if all items brought into school could be named please as this will help us to return found items to their owner.
Many thanks for your support.

School Canteen - Summer Term
A reminder of the menu for the canteen for the remainder of this term.
This week we are starting on the menu for week 3.
We seem to be experiencing a lot of students forgetting their lunch cards at the moment, please can you remind your son/daughter to bring their card to school with them.
Many thanks.
