Jersey based meet-ups, workshops and other events for cool island based mums, that need a bit of a breather from the kids now and again!

I am a local mum of two little people (well, Im from Wales originally but married to a Bean) and I was feeling that my evenings were becoming a little bit too much like groundhog day. Yes, I have lovely friends but I reeeeeally dont get to go out that much #saddo. So...I decided (for my sanity more than anything else) to set up events, workshops and meet ups for Jersey based mums to meet other coo

I haven’t been on this page for a while now but this looks like a very worthy and valuable thing to share with any mums expecting and dads to be... please share. If this year has shown us anything, is how important good mental health is and often how little value and importance we’ve probably given it.... please reach out if you need help or know someone that might benefit locally from this support. ❤️❤️❤️

I am a ridiculous worrier. I worry about anything and everything. In fact, I also worry when I don’t have anything to worry about because my thoughts are annoying like that. It’s a wonky thing sometimes. Our brains. Our thoughts. Since lockdown, I’ve randomly found pebbles on the beach in the shape of hearts and today I opened a dip and this stared back at me. Small and cheery. Something silly really. 🌈🌈🌈

In an attempt to try and get fitter and most importantly for me at the moment, keeping my moods feeling healthier, the last 4 weeks or so I’ve been doing some of the The Vitality Bee classes on line via zoom... takes out so much faff getting to an actual class and I’ve really enjoyed ‘going’ twice a week and being accountable to someone to say I’ll be at a class... rather than just to myself and then talk myself out of it! I Saw in the last few days that the business is expanding by the looks of things and thought this class might appeal to mums or mums to be as well as the other fitness classes Vicki is running. Definitely recommend and currently £5 a session is 🙌🏻

Another amazing project with Sophie Darwin Photography and raising awareness about infertility and secondary infertility on the island.

*CALLING ALL INFERTILITY WARRIORS*

I have teamed up with the wonderful for ‘Wouldn’t Be Here’ – a campaign with the aim of raising awareness of infertility, and visibly demonstrating the great work of the Assisted Reproduction Unit (ARU) in Jersey in helping Islanders to start and/or grow their much longed-for families.

Last year 5.2% of all the 880 births in the island were as a result of treatment with the ARU.

Importantly, we also want to celebrate YOU: the absolute of infertility, what you have been through and endured and in many cases are sadly still enduring.

We would love to photograph as many of you and your babies and/or children as possible who without the help of the ARU.

WANT TO TAKE PART? If you are one of these families and would like to take part or find out more, please email Chloe at [email protected]

You would need to be available on the morning of Sunday 13th September and agree to the photos being used in the media.

We fully understand how difficult it can be for those in the middle of treatment, and how private and personal each journey can be. But we would also really love to hear from anyone who is and still going through it. If you would like to share your story by taking part in a separate shoot, please do get in touch.

Thank you and we hope to hear from you!

A day of grey sky and that weird, frizz inducing wet air, rather than full on rain... anyone with curly hair knows what I mean... 😬Here’s hoping we can eek out just a bit more sunshine (and i mean most definitely NOT the sweat moustache/ sweaty under your b***s and/ or crotch area/ anger inducing if ANY small person tries to sit on lap/ can’t sleep at night/ does that sh*tty fan go ANY higher or faster/ why is the tide OUT at such inconvenient times this week (finally get the whole tide thing in Jersey btw) style heat territory we’ve experienced the last week or so thank you very much)... no, I’m talking sunny/ warm with a breeze. Something pleasant enough with shorts but may need a cardi type of thing please! Happy Friday peeps and also belated happpy for yesterday apparently... who even knew! 🤷🏻‍♀️
