The free fruit provision has now come to an end, so unfortunately the school is no longer able to provide fruit for children at morning snack time.

If you would like your child to have a snack during morning break, please ensure they bring a healthy snack from home each day.

Today, we celebrated the life of Mrs Chidlow and gave thanks for her immense contribution to our school.

Mrs Chidlow brought warmth, dedication, and kindness to everything she did. She touched the lives of so many of our children, staff and families, and her legacy will always remain a cherished part of our school community.

Our thoughts, love, and deepest sympathies continue to be with her family and friends.

Thank you, Mrs Chidlow, for everything. You will be so dearly missed. ❤️

Chidlow (nee Baines), Carol Ann

Passed away peacefully in the loving care of Jersey Hospice on Wednesday 12th August, aged 50 years.

Loving Wife to Graham. Adored mother to Grace and Florence.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Family and friends wishing to attend the funeral service of Carol, are invited to meet at the Royal Jersey Showground, Trinity, on Monday 7th September at 11:30am

Carol loved colour so please feel free to wear a touch of colour.

Family flowers only.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, may be sent to Jersey Hospice Care, Clarkson House, Le Mont Cochon, JE2 3JB

It is with deep sadness that we share news of the passing of Mrs Chidlow.

Mrs Chidlow was a beloved member of the Plat Douet community for over a decade. Her dedication, warmth and commitment to our pupils left a lasting mark on our school, particularly through her work with our Writing Project and Reading Recovery programme.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to her family and her loved ones during this very difficult time.

We know how much Mrs Chidlow meant to so many of our families over the years.

We know this news may be difficult for some of our pupils. A brief guide on supporting children with bereavement can be found on the Mind Jersey or Winston's Wish websites and we will be here to support returning pupils when school reopens.
