Join us for our FCJ Open Day on Saturday 26 September 2026, from 9:30am to 12:30pm, and discover a school where children are loved, nurtured, challenged and inspired to thrive.

At FCJ, we believe children flourish when they feel safe, loved, valued and understood.

• Visit our classrooms and exceptional facilities
• Meet the teachers and staff who know and care for our children
• Discover our ambitious curriculum and high academic standards
• Learn about our FCJ Ethos and Values
• See how we nurture children academically, socially and spiritually
• Ask the questions that matter most to your family
• Explore the journey from Nursery and Pre-School through to Primary School

We are also delighted to introduce FCJ Little Companions, our brand-new Nursery for children aged 2-3 years, and showcase our wonderful Pre-School provision, with NEF funding available for both Nursery and Pre-School places.

It is with great sadness that the FCJ Primary School community has learned of the recent passing of Sr Beatrice FCJ.

We extend our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers to Sr Beatrice’s family and to the entire FCJ Community at this difficult time. Sr Beatrice touched the lives of so many during her time in Jersey and will be remembered with great affection.

The Funeral Mass for Sr Beatrice FCJ will be live-streamed on Monday, 10 August at 11:00am. All parents, past pupils, current and former staff, and members of the wider community are warmly welcome to join the live stream at St Thomas Church Hall.
Please arrive by 10:45am. Refreshments will be served afterwards, kindly provided by the FCJ Past Pupils Association. The FCJ Past Pupils Association will also be organising a Memorial Mass in September. Further details will be shared in due course.

May Sr Beatrice rest in peace.

Quelle journée! Children from pre-school to KS2 celebrated French culture for La Fête Nationale (Bastille Day) celebrations. From baking French themed cupcakes and palmiers to having one of our lovely year 1 parents coming in to make French crêpes. Another wonderful parent had an interactive French colours session with reception class. We are also very thankful to the lovely staff from the Jersey Pètanque Club that came to show year 3 and 4 how to play the game. Merci à tous pour cette journée fantastique!

Year 5 had a superb morning at the Norman Market and the French Alliance centre in town. The children had the opportunity to try and rate the different French cuisines that were being sold at the market. The children used their French language skills to ask the shop keepers various questions about the different foods they were selling. When the children were in the French Alliance centre, they learnt about French music and practised their French skills. Their favourite part was being able to walk around the market and purchase various items! A huge thank you to the Alliance Française de Jersey staff for their generosity! The children had the most amazing time.

A Special Farewell to a Much-Loved Member of The FCJ Family

Today, with both gratitude and emotion, we celebrate Isabelle’s retirement, an incredible 34 years of loyal, dedicated, and devoted service to FCJ Primary School.

For more than three decades, she has been so much more than a valued member of our housekeeping team — she has been a member of the FCJ Family, a familiar, caring, and much-loved presence within our school community. Her beautiful smile, gentle kindness, and willingness to always go the extra mile have brought warmth and happiness to our school every single day. Over the years, she has cared for generations of FCJ children, watching them grow, welcoming new families, and helping to create a safe, happy, and nurturing environment for everyone who walked through our doors. The impact of her care, compassion, and dedication cannot be measured, she has truly been part of the heart and soul of FCJ Primary School.

Today we thank Isabelle for the countless moments of kindness, the friendly smiles, the memories shared, and the love she has shown to our pupils, families, and staff throughout the years.
To mark this wonderful milestone, Isabelle was presented with beautiful flowers, an engraved vase, and thoughtful gifts from the FCJ Pupils and Parents, FCJ Staff, and the FCJ Governors and Trustees; small tokens of the immense appreciation and affection we all hold for her. Isabelle is pictured with a few members of the FCJ Staff Family.

As Isabelle begins this new chapter, we wish her a retirement filled with happiness, good health, precious time with loved ones, and all the joy she has given so freely to others.

Congratulations and thank you for 34 unforgettable years Isabelle! You will always hold a very special place in the FCJ family.
