Today, our Year 6 pupils welcomed the wonderful Erin from the National Trust into the FCJ Podcast Room for a fascinating interview session.

The children impressed us with their thoughtful, probing questions as they learned more about conservation, heritage and the important work of the National Trust. 🌿🏰

It was also a particularly special occasion as Erin is a former FCJ pupil herself. The children loved hearing about her journey since leaving primary school and seeing first-hand where determination and passion can lead.

What an amazing celebration for our Gold Day! We are so proud of everyone in our FCJ community for getting our Gold Re-accreditation! FCJ is once again a Gold Rights Respecting School! We started our day with a special assembly to reveal the news and School Development Squad helped to celebrate our amazing work to achieve this award. Mr Posner and Ms O'Neill came to celebrate with us in our assembly. We then celebrated with House Music and gathering ideas for politicians to focus on in the current elections. The day ended with each class creating something for a time capsule to open in 3 years time. What an action packed day to celebrate! A huge thank you to Boutique Balloons for our golden balloon arch! The FCJ Summer Holiday Club is back for 2026, and it’s packed with more action than ever before! From the 13th of July to the 28th of August, we’re running an incredible lineup of activities to keep the kids entertained, active, and having a blast.

What’s on the agenda?
Nerf gun battles, Lazer tag, assault courses, splash pool fun, archery, Pickleball, disco parties, talent shows, baking, jewellery making, tie-dye, and so much more! There is literally something for everyone.

At this year’s Gaelic football tournament we entered two teams, both of which did extremely well against tough opposition. This year, we are delighted to have the boys come in second place and the girls coming back as champions. Our Year 3 students have had a spectacular Egyptian Day, stepping back in time to uncover the secrets of the pyramids and hunt for hidden Pharaohs. From energetic ancient dances to impressive historical discoveries, it was a creative and fun-filled journey that brought history to life!
