Dear Parents,
We have come into school this morning to carry out building and premises inspections.
Due to storm damage in the area, including downed trees and debris on several roads, we will be opening school to pupils from 9:00 a.m. with the intention that all children are in school by 10:00a.m. This is to allow additional time to ensure that we have sufficient staff in school and reduce the number of cars on the road at any one time, which should make your journey safer.
Here is a link to the website with details of road closures: https://roadworks.gov.je/EWXPublic/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQKNjYyODU2ODM3OQABHpbPglxzYCes9Ag5_Ax4N4uPftte62f2CpqH0GVqqv5OVfqD0fp6hSbnt_cy_aem_HrEE8uR4IuyF1Eo9ddKU9w
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but safety has to be our priority.
Please could you share this on any class WhatsApp groups, for any parents who miss the email.
Thank you. See you all later.

Windy weather warning. We’ve had an update regarding Storm Goretti, that is due to arrive tomorrow evening. Please see below. Although the wind is due to be strong tomorrow evening, it should have decreased significantly by Friday morning. School is expecting to be open as usual on both days.
This is the information we have received for Thursday:
The wind is due to increase until the early evening
It is expected that wind will be up to Gale Force 7/8 from 6pm - this is classed as a relatively normal Winter storm
By 8pm it is expected that a Red weather warning will be in place due to winds increasing to Force 9/10
A Red weather warning indicates a risk to life so the advice will be to stay at home for the duration of the Red warning
From 9pm until midnight the wind is expected to be at its worst with a potential for Force 11 or even Force 12 (although Force 12 is expected to be at sea)
Wind direction will be south westerly or westerly
Rainfall of 20mm during the day
Big waves - 15 feet or above - Orange warning - stay away
1.2m higher tide than predicted.
