NOW vs THEN 🍅😂

I found this photo from about five years ago and couldn’t not share it…

On the right: one tomato, one candle, one homemade label, and a level of confidence that was completely unsupported by my graphic design skills. 😆

At the time I thought it looked pretty professional. Looking back, I’m not entirely sure what font crime was committed, but we move on….

The funny thing is, the idea behind it was exactly the same as it is today.

I was obsessed with that fresh green scent of tomato vines growing in the summer sun back then, and I still am now.

Five years later, the branding is a little better, the photography is definitely better, and thankfully the labels have improved too. But the love for unusual fragrances is still the same.

This year we have Beetroot and Wasabi 👀 You have to try them!

It’s easy to look at a small business and only see where it is now. What you don’t see are the kitchen-table photoshoots, the questionable design choices, and the many versions that came before.

Here’s to starting before you’re ready and figuring it out as you go. 😅

And for anyone wondering what Tomato Leaf actually smells like… imagine stepping into a warm greenhouse on a summer afternoon. Fresh green tomato vines and leaves mingle with juicy cassis berries, soft rose and orange blossom, before settling into a beautiful base of musk, amber and orchid. ✨A little Candle Club Update…🌟

I’ve spent the half term at Domaine des Ormes with my family, trying to keep up with a tribe of teenagers during a heatwave…🥰😎🙌🏻

We’ve had a wonderful week together, made lots of memories, eaten more ice cream, drank more fizz than I’d care to admit, and enjoyed some much-needed family time.

As a result, Candle Club deliveries are running a little behind this month.

Official reason for the small delay:
