This week we celebrated a very special milestone as Mrs Bentley turned 50!
Mrs Bentley is one of those rare people who makes a difference to everyone around her. She is kind, caring, thoughtful, and incredibly good at what she does. Whether she’s offering support, a listening ear, a helping hand, or a reassuring smile, she always puts others first and makes our school a better place. We are so lucky to have her as part of our school family. Her warmth, dedication, and genuine care for others never go unnoticed.
Happy 50th Birthday, Mrs Bentley! Thank you for everything you do ans we hope you’ve had a wonderful week celebrating your special day.

Year 1 have been learning all about the Great Fire of London! We explored the facts, created a timeline of events, and designed our own printed artwork inspired by London in 1666.
Our project involved lots of different stages. First, we practised our printing techniques before using marbling to create a fiery flame effect. We then carefully created a skyline of London in 1666 on foam board and printed it across our flames.
This project really tested our patience, creativity and artistic skills, but we are so proud of the finished results. We think we nailed it!

Festival of the Mile, sponsored by Rathbones, takes place on Sunday 19 July 2026 at FB Fields, and we would love to see your students and club members on the start line.
The Festival of the Mile is a fun, friendly, and confidence building day of one mile races designed for all ages and abilities. With the Junior Mile, Family Relay, and a full festival atmosphere throughout the day, it’s a brilliant opportunity for young people to experience racing in a supportive, low pressure environment.
For many children, the Festival of the Mile is a chance to build race confidence, try something new, and enjoy being part of a wider community event. Families are encouraged to come along, cheer, and even take part themselves. The event runs in aid of Jersey Heart Support Group, raising vital funds for islanders who need it.
Alongside the children’s events, the programme also includes The Mile, the Mascot 400, and the Randalls Beer Mile (18+), making it a lively and engaging day for the whole community.
I would be grateful if you could share this information with your students and families.

A message from Mrs Price-Bramble:
I am incredibly proud of 5A. Over the last three days on their residential trip, they have shown remarkable independence, resilience and maturity.
Whether it was keeping their rooms tidy, helping with jobs around the site, surfing and coasteering in freezing temperatures without complaint, stepping outside their comfort zones, or making the most of a day at the beach in a down pour, they approached every challenge with positivity and determination.
As staff, we have rarely needed to intervene. Instead, we have had the privilege of watching the children support one another, solve problems independently, work together and, most importantly, have an amazing time.
They have been a credit to themselves, their families and our school throughout the trip. It has been wonderful to see the friendships, confidence and teamwork that have flourished over the last few days.
Thank you, 5A, for making this such a memorable residential. And thank you LLe Port Surf & Adventurefor having us for the day!

Year 3 had so much fun on their first residential trip to Brig-Y-Don. They built and tested their own raft, created their own den, made smores around the campfire, listened to traditional Jersey stories, played beach games, enjoyed some glorious sunshine and even managed to get some sleep too!
