“Sicily plus” is non-profit, non-governmental organization. The main goal of the organization is to develop young people into leaders and to spread a positive image of Sicily throughout the world by developing and increasing cooperation with NGOs, civil society, state and international organizations and with all countries in the Erasmus program. Sicily plus” started its activities in 2015, operat
ed by young people, who have more than 2 years of experience in the youth sector and the Erasmus plus sector. Our members are young people with open hearts and minds full of ideas to act on. In its daily activities our NGO organizes projects aimed at increasing cooperation with local youth, ensuring active participation of young people on local a local scale. We are doing seminars, trainings, lectures, performances and so on. We are always open to new ideas and proposals. Also Our members are: young workers, young leaders and everyone who is willing to work for the sake of others. Here a short, complete description of our activity:
- To create an environment for active participation of young people in the public and social life of the country;
- To develop relationships between Youth organizations and the business;
- To develop the leadership and management skills for youth;
- To operate in the sphere of forming strong human capital for the future development;
- To ensure the protection of cultural values among youth;
- To represent the interest of young people in regional and international level and create conditions for their development;
- To organize the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience among national and international youth;
- To carry out activities in the sphere of science and education, culture, ecology and enlightenment;
-To develop culture based on national-spiritual values and to operate in other spheres;
- To support the development of democracy and human resources, to protect human rights and to carry out work aimed at ensuring civil freedoms;
- To help create opportunities for people to participate in democratic processes;
- To involve the youth in solving ecological, gender and other problems;
- To ensure citizens’ cooperation in the establishment of peace and the resolution of conflicts, to make efforts to strengthen the national and ethnic dialogue, to develop tolerance and to carry out activities aimed at integration into the modern world;
- To cooperate with various state, non-governmental, humanitarian, media, commercial, foreign and other organizations and etc.
