Sono Stefano Parrini, Maestro Artigiano del Cuoio riconosciuto dalla Camera di Commercio Industria Agricoltura e Artigianato di Firenze.
Presso il mio laboratorio, ubicato a Vicchio in provincia di Firenze, ho la possibilità di ospitare fino ad 8 studenti, appassionati, lavoratori del mestiere o persone interessate ad un primo approccio per l'apprendimento del mio lavoro. La maggior parte del mio tempo viene infatti dedicato all'attività formativa e didattica tramite la collaborazione con Scuola del Cuoio, Istituto Europeo di Design, Mita Academy, Artex, OMA; mentre continuo ad occuparmi della produzione solo per una nicchia di clienti maturati e affezionati negli anni.
La mia è infatti una bottega nata come luogo di condivisione di spazi di lavoro per lo svolgimento di tirocini curriculari, stage extra curriculari e workshop di varia durata e impegno. Offro dunque la mia esperienza e le mie competenze per la creazione di modelli o progetti prestabiliti a cui manca solamente il luogo, il materiale o un approfondimento per arrivarne alla realizzazione. Il tutto applicabile sia alle casistiche più classiche, ma offrendo anche la possibilità di esplorare ambiti legati alla sperimentazione di usi del cuoio meno consueti; come la scultura e metodi di manipolazione da destinare al settore creativo artistico.
Con il presente sono dunque a dare vita ad un progetto che ha il fine di rendere accessibili le porte del mio piccolo laboratorio a quante più persone interessate a scoprire il mondo della lavorazione del cuoio.

I am Stefano Parrini, Master Leather Craftsman recognized by the Chamber of Commerce Industry-Agriculture and Crafts of Florence.
At my laboratory, located in Vicchio in the province of Florence, I have the opportunity to host up to 8 students, enthusiasts, workers of the trade, or people interested in a first approach to learning an ancient craft of leather processing. Most of my time is dedicated to training and teaching activities through collaboration with Scuola del Cuoio, Istituto Europeo di Design, Mita Academy, Artex, OMA. At the same time, I continue to take care of the production only for a niche of customers matured and affectionate over the years.
Mine is, in fact, a laboratory born as a place for sharing workspaces for carrying out curricular internships, extracurricular internships, and workshops of varying duration and commitment. I, therefore, offer my experience and skills for creating pre-established models or projects that lack only the place, the material, or a deepening to get to the realization. All this is applicable both to the more classic cases, but also offering the possibility of exploring areas related to the experimentation of less usual uses of leather; such as sculpture and manipulation methods to be used in the artistic creative sector.
I am hereby giving life to a project that has the purpose to make the doors of my small workshop accessible to the most significant number of people wishing to have direct contact with the world of leather and craftsmanship.
