Presente (Present Tense)
Used for current states or facts.
Io sono felice. – I am happy.
Tu sei gentile. – You are kind.
Lui/Lei è stanco/a. – He/She is tired.
Noi siamo amici. – We are friends.
Voi siete pronti. – You all are ready.
Loro sono a casa. – They are at home.
Passato Prossimo (Present Perfect)
Used for completed actions in the past.
Io sono stato/a in Italia. – I have been to Italy.
Tu sei stato/a molto coraggioso/a. – You were very brave.
Lui/Lei è stato/a malato/a. – He/She was sick.
Noi siamo stati/e al cinema. – We went to the cinema.
Voi siete stati/e fantastici/e. – You all were fantastic.
Loro sono stati/e in ritardo. – They were late.
Imperfetto (Imperfect Tense)
Used for habitual or ongoing past actions.
Io ero triste ogni giorno. – I was sad every day.
Tu eri sempre puntuale. – You were always punctual.
Lui/Lei era un bambino curioso. – He/She was a curious child.
Noi eravamo inseparabili. – We were inseparable.
Voi eravate in vacanza. – You all were on vacation.
Loro erano molto rumorosi. – They were very noisy.
Futuro (Future Tense)
Used for actions or states that will happen.
Io sarò felice domani. – I will be happy tomorrow.
Tu sarai un grande artista. – You will be a great artist.
Lui/Lei sarà qui presto. – He/She will be here soon.
Noi saremo insieme per sempre. – We will be together forever.
Voi sarete famosi. – You all will be famous.
Loro saranno occupati. – They will be busy.
