🌍 International Youth Day
At Glocal Factory, we believe young people should not simply be prepared for the future — they should have the opportunity to shape it!
At a time when imagining the future can feel increasingly difficult, creating meaningful opportunities and safe spaces where young people can express themselves freely, make their voices heard and bring their personalities, ideas and perspectives into the conversation matters more than ever.
Through the projects we are currently implementing and the local networks and partnerships we build, we aim to offer young people high-quality experiences where they can learn by doing, develop transversal skills, discover their strengths and gain greater confidence in themselves and in what they can achieve.
That’s why we involve young people not only as ''participants'', but as active contributors, creators and changemakers. Because meaningful youth participation starts with trust, quality opportunities and a real voice 🌻

🌍 Learning beyond borders!
Through the Erasmus+ KA1 project 2024-1-IT02-KA121-ADU-000230255, 18 members of the Aenet Consortium took part in training and mobility experiences across Europe, strengthening their skills, exchanging good practices, and building international partnerships. For us, Glocal Factory, Arci nazionale, and PRISM Impresa Sociale, these mobilities were an opportunity to grow professionally while exploring topics such as Human Rights, intercultural dialogue, civic education, organizational well-being, and international solidarity.

🌱The 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗧𝘀 training course is underway in Sarajevo, organized by CRSP - Centar za Razvoj Socijalnog Poduzetništva!

The first part of the programme combined expert-led sessions with practical workshops on green transition, sustainable development and green business.

The programme also took learning outside the classroom, with visits focused on electronic-waste recycling at 𝗭𝗘𝗢 𝗲𝗸𝗼-𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. These practical experiences showed how green solutions are already being applied locally.

This is only the beginning: the learning journey will continue in August with more workshops, training and field activities. 🌱

Tra i libri che il nostro Team consiglia per questa estate c'è "Custodi" di Costantino Gradilone (Edizioni LavertiginediPrometeo, 2026). ☀️📖

Un racconto delicato e autentico che ci porta dentro una piccola associazione sportiva, osservata con gli occhi di un educatore. Tra adolescenti, allenatori, genitori, nonni e volontari, emerge un messaggio semplice ma potente: ogni persona ha bisogno di sentirsi vista, ascoltata e accolta. 🤝

🌍 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻—𝗯𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!

In June, the 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗧𝘀 training course took place in Vienna, organised by 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁.

The course was highly practical: participants worked together, exchanged ideas and joined interactive workshops on climate change, carbon footprints, renewable energy, the circular economy and future green jobs.

One of the most engaging moments was the visit to 𝗠𝗔 𝟰𝟴, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, street cleaning and its vehicle fleet. At the Favoriten waste collection centre, participants had the opportunity to see how waste is managed and how sustainable solutions can become part of everyday urban life.

A valuable experience connecting new knowledge, practical skills and real employment opportunities in the green economy. 🌱

🌍 In May, our cooperative attended the Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the HOUSE Project in Budapest, together with our intern, Paola.
For us, hosting interns means giving them meaningful learning opportunities. Whenever we meet motivated people who share our values, we enjoy involving them in every aspect of our work—including international project meetings. 🤝 For Paola, attending the TPM was a valuable chance to experience EU project management firsthand, meet our project partners, and gain insight into international cooperation. Experiences like these are essential for anyone starting a career in European projects: learning by doing, building international connections, and feeling part of a wider European community.

During the meeting, we explored educational and housing initiatives supporting refugees, and discussed how to engage new stakeholders to further strengthen Community Sponsorship across Europe. 🇪🇺
