📚 On June 29–30, the Department of Computer Science at the University of Verona hosted the conference "Nonlinear PDEs Describing Front Propagation, Geometric Variational Problems and Singularities."
The event brought together 10 invited speakers from leading universities in Italy, Spain, and Germany, fostering scientific exchange on cutting-edge research in nonlinear partial differential equations and the calculus of variations.
The conference explored a wide range of topics arising in Physics, Materials Science, and Biology, including:
🔹 Allen–Cahn and Ginzburg–Landau models
🔹 Geometric variational problems
🔹 Harmonic and manifold-valued maps
🔹 Topological singularities
🔹 Traveling fronts in reaction–diffusion systems
A valuable opportunity for collaboration, discussion, and the exchange of new ideas among researchers working at the intersection of mathematics and its applications.
