Last week marked the conclusion of the 2026 Summer Campus at the Aero Club di Verona Flight Academy.

Our students took part in classroom communication training and practical simulation sessions, learning just how essential aeronautical communications are.

Clear, accurate communication plays a vital role in:
- following General Operational Procedures;
- listening carefully and understanding meteorological information;
- maintaining situational awareness during contingency and emergency situations.

Thereafter, our students visited our ‘biga’, or control tower, which provides instructions for departures, approaches and landings.

Our Flight Academy also offers candidates the opportunity to take the TEA - Test of English for Aviation, an important step towards developing the language proficiency needed to operate international flights safely and confidently. ✈️

Last week of the 2026 Summer Campus at the Aero Club di Verona Flight Academy!
It has been an intense and rewarding month for our students, who completed the theoretical training required to take to the PPL exam.

Our next PPL theory course starts on Tuesday, September 15, and runs until March.
Lessons will take place every Tuesday and Thursday, from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m., either in person or live online.
The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) is the essential first step toward earning your CPL and ATPL and building a professional career in aviation.

A summer full of courses, training, missions, and intensive study sessions has prepared our students for their exams.
Now, all the energy, effort, and sacrifices of the past few months are paying off, bringing well-deserved results and immense satisfaction to our young pilots!

Our student Gabriel Tacconi is preparing for his solo flight to Padua. Yesterday, he planned and completed the flight with our instructor, Alessandro Zaramella; today, he is ready to fly there on his own.
Planning each flight requires careful consideration of several factors, including fuel and oil levels, mass and balance, weather conditions - particularly temperature and air pressure, which can affect aircraft performance - as well as the route and estimated flight time.
