💡The first international staff training week for librarians at Università Iuav di Venezia will take place in Venice from 14 to 20 October 2024
The programme includes presentations, study-visits to Iuav Library and Archivio Progetti, an architectural tour of Iuav university buildings, a visit to Biblioteca Marciana and Fondazione Scientifica Querini Stampalia, all located in the charming historical centre of Venice
The application deadline is 15 July 2024

🟢 The European Commission has awarded the PIONEER Alliance, of which Iuav is a partner, with 14.320.000 euros in funding under the ERASMUS+ programme
Iuav will receive 1.200.000 euros to strengthen research and develop sustainable cities and communities
The PIONEER alliance, consisting of 10 university institutions and over 130,000 students, focuses on co-creating innovative ecosystems for inclusive, safe and climate-resilient cities

📸 Iuav international mobility office is happy to announce the winners of the Erasmus incoming student photo contest "A personal image of Venice in the morning hours"
In May 2024, the participants submitted three photos each, in digital format, of special moments and reflections in the iconic places of our beloved city
The jury, chaired by Angelo Maggi, selected the following three winning photos:
🏆 "Vision 1" by Odilon Reigneaud, from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture ENSA Lyon
🏆 "Greenery Morning" by Jolana Stepanova, from the Czech Technical University in Prague (Study at CTU in Prague)
🏆 "Keep Venice Clean" by Paul Lefevre, from the École nationale supérieure d'architecture Paris-Val de Seine, in the pictures with Lorena Canaku and Paola De Rossi of the international mobility office
Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all participants for sharing a unique vision of Venice!

📣 Applications are open for at - Venice International University - VIU!
The 2024 edition will be held from 5 to 30 August and will offer 6 interactive courses:
▪️ Stones of Venetia: from the Romans to the Microscope
▪️ Gender, Media and Politics: Rewriting the Story
▪️ Interactive Data Visualization
▪️ "Form follows function!" – Social Psychological Concepts and How They Uncover the Logic of Group Dynamics, Conflicts and Ways towards a Solution
▪️ Consumer, Culture and Society: Digital Transformation and Sustainability
▪️ Africa: Postcoloniality and the Modern World
The number of students per class may vary from 10-20.
Each course consists of 40 hours of tuition (equivalent to 6 ECTS) including a virtual component that will be held before the beginning of the programme (1 July > 4 August 2024).
The Summer Session is open to bachelor and master's students in any discipline fully enrolled at Università Iuav di Venezia
There are no tuition fees but selected students will be asked to pay a € 50 administration fee
The deadline for applications is 15 May 2024 via VIU website

1FUTURE aims to establish resilient communities in the Western
Balkans and the European Union by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration
among universities to promote a culture centred on sustainability
and climate action

This event is oranised by Gabriele Monti and Saul Marcadent, in the frame of the bachelor’s degree in Fashion design and multimedia arts
