Sponsored by the Fondazione Cini,e the Creative Europe Program if the European Union and the Haute École de Musique de Genève this is a unique opportunity to study Venetian music in the "Serenissima" itself The course is dedicated to minor and outsider repertoires from 16th century Venice, as well as a workshop on the Jewish-Italian tradition. In addition, there will be le

ctures on various aspects of Venetian culture, an in-depth guided visit to the Ghetto and Jewish cemetery and, of course, the opportunity to experience the city itself. The course is tuition-free for participants and auditors, and reasonably-priced rooms are available at the Fondazione Cini and the Campus Redentore Residence on the Giudecca Island nearby. The early music course is open to advanced students, participants in the Jewish music workshop should be able to read music well and a knowledge of Jewish learning is helpful. Faculty:
Gloria Moretti (voice, vocal ensemble); Enrico Fink (Jewish Italian musical tradition, voice); Francis Biggi (ensembles, plucked strings, musical direction); Avery Gosfield (ensembles, Jewish Renaissance song workshop, ensembles, recorder, pipe and tabor); Massimiliano Dragoni (percussion, hammer dulcimer, percussion workshop)
