The AIESEC Youth week ended last week with four university career events at Makerere University, Makerere University Business School, Kyambogo University, and Uganda Christian University. This annual event is organized by AIESEC in Uganda to inspire and engage young people to reach their full potential. Speakers from different fields shared key experiences and lessons on how one can thrive in the future of work based on their life stories and I had the pleasure of moderating these discussions.

I must say AIESEC in Uganda has a phenomenal leadership program that is doing amazing work in linking young people to opportunities beyond Uganda and volunteering spaces for one to groom their soft skills. Much appreciation to the organizing team and all the speakers: Douglas lwanga, Namureba Abel, Sanya Abdul, Shamim K., Charles Bwogi, Ram Hadji, and Baluku Dounnah for the valuable lessons shared with the audiences.

The Mentorship Class 2021 officially ended last week on Friday 26th November during this year's grand finale with the British High Commissioner to Uganda, Her Excellency Kate Airey OBE as the guest of honor for this event. Running this year’s cohort with the management team has been one phenomenal journey filled with a lot of strategic repositioning and adapting to the new demands of this era while ensuring that the desired impact is achieved.

The best part of it all has been viewing the deliberate growth of our mentees as they embraced the core curriculum and life-changing sessions with different mentors while taking up their own mantle to set their dreams in life.

Congratulations to The Mentorship Class 2021 cohort upon this milestone and the entire management time as well for the tremendous efforts, commitment, and sacrifice injected in every step of the way to ensure that this year’s cohort of youth was impacted to become the best versions of themselves.
