We are honoured to announce that the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See has expressed a positive opinion regarding the granting of its patronage to the European University Festival.
This represents an important institutional recognition for our European project, already supported by the Italian National Commission for UNESCO and held under the High Patronage of the European Parliament.
The European University Festival will officially launch its permanent platform on 21 May 2026 in Turin, while the international final event will take place in May 2027, bringing together universities, institutions, young people, scientific research, culture and innovation from across Europe.
We sincerely thank Cardinal José Tolentino de Mendonça and the Dicastery for Culture and Education for the attention and support dedicated to our initiative.
Our mission remains clear: to build a permanent European platform capable of connecting the academic world with the major challenges of the future.

Gen Z is not giving up on driving.
It is redefining mobility.
According to Deloitte (2025), an increasing number of young people are delaying or avoiding obtaining a driver’s license.
This is not only an economic shift.
It reflects a deeper transformation in how freedom and mobility are perceived.
• Less ownership
• More access
• Greater attention to environmental impact
This does not mean the end of the automotive sector.
It means evolution.
→ more sustainable vehicles
→ shared mobility models
→ integrated transport solutions
The real challenge is not to defend the past,
but to design the future.
The point is not the end of the automobile,
but the transformation of mobility.
Understanding this transition means understanding the future of our cities and our environment.
At the European University Festival, this will be one of the key topics of discussion, bringing together universities, institutions, and industry.
Because sustainable mobility will be one of the key drivers in addressing climate change.

We are honored to express our sincere gratitude to the Italian National Commission for UNESCO for granting its patronage to the European University Festival.
This important recognition strengthens our commitment to building a European platform that brings together universities, research, institutions, and new generations, with the goal of addressing the major challenges of our time in a concrete way — starting with climate change.
The European University Festival was created to enhance the contribution of the academic world and transform it into real solutions, promoting dialogue, cooperation, and innovation at an international level.
We welcome this patronage with gratitude and with a clear sense of responsibility, continuing to work towards an increasingly authoritative, inclusive, and impact-driven project.
