🏁 Sound and connectivity are engineering disciplines in their own right, and few companies know them like ASK.

Founded in Italy in 1965, ASK is a world leader in audio systems and connectivity for automotive manufacturers, designing everything from HiFi and High End speakers and DSP amplifiers to the antenna and cable systems that keep vehicles connected. Its work reaches carmakers across the globe, supported by research centres and long-standing collaborations with universities.

That link between industry and academic research is part of what makes ASK a natural sponsor of Formula SAE Italy 2026, where engineering knowledge moves between the professional world and the engineers who will shape mobility next.

A company that has spent decades refining how vehicles sound and stay connected adds real technical depth to the ecosystem. πŸ”Š

πŸŽ₯ The official teaser of Formula SAE Italy 2026 is online.

Every year, engineering students from universities around the world design and build their own single-seaters, then bring them to the Riccardo Paletti Circuit in Varano de' Melegari to test them against the clock and against each other. The teaser is a first glimpse of that journey, the passion, the late nights and the ideas that take shape long before the cars reach the track.

From September 2 to 6, 2026, five days of static and dynamic events will once again turn Varano into a meeting point between student talent, industry and the future of mobility.

The 2026 edition is almost here. 🏁

Ferrari is part of the Formula SAE Italy ecosystem, and 2026 is an important year for Innovation, Racing (in F1 as well as Endurance) and plenty of news in engineering teams.

With Formula 1 undergoing one of its deepest regulatory overhauls in over a decade, new power units, lighter cars and active aerodynamics among them, the team has had to rethink its car from the ground up. It is a reminder of what real engineering work looks like when the rulebook changes and very component has to be questioned, tested and improved. And of course tried and tested by our engineering teams in the design offices and on track.

It is the same process the student teams competing at Autodromo di Varano de' Melegari go through every year: designing, building and racing a single-seater from scratch, under pressure and against the clock, and above as a team.

Ferrari's long history in motorsport and its ongoing commitment to pushing engineering forward make it a natural presence at a team-centric event.

Pirelli Motorsport is part of the Formula SAE Italy 2026 ecosystem, and this year the company has just gone through one of its most significant product resets in over a decade.

With a brand new generation of race cars on track in 2026, Pirelli has reworked its entire tyre range from scratch, new dimensions, new compounds and a redesigned sidewall, all engineered to match the different loads, speeds and behaviour of the new vehicles.

It is a process that mirrors exactly what the student teams competing at Autodromo di Varano de' Melegari go through every season. A new car means new dynamics, and every component, down to tyre choice and setup, has to be studied and validated before it can perform on track.

Pirelli's approach shows how much research sits behind something as familiar as a tyre, and why that attention to detail matters just as much in student motorsport as it does at the highest level of racing.

Formula SAE Italy 2026 welcomes Raise Performance.

Their conviction is a simple one: getting onto a track isn't the hard part β€” arriving there ready to fight for results is.

Raise Performance delivers professional-level training for the two profiles that decide a race weekend β€” drivers and race engineers β€” trained side by side by a faculty that comes from the very top of motorsport.

What sets them apart is the method: an integrated programme that pairs the realism of simulation with a real karting and GT racing network β€” a genuine proving ground where drivers and engineers build practical experience session after session, on real data and real laps.

Plenty of programmes will get you to the track and then leave you there to work it out on your own. Raise Performance gets you there with the experience to perform from day one β€” and to compete for the title, not just to take part.

It's a mindset they know from the inside: the people behind Raise Performance started out as Formula Student participants themselves β€” right here, at Varano de' Melegari. Unleash your talent!

Formula SAE Italy 2026 welcomes Bylogix, a company specialized in advanced electrical and electronic engineering for the automotive, aerospace and naval sectors.

Bylogix works with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers on E/E architectures, embedded software and hardware, ADAS and electrification systems, technology that today powers millions of vehicles on the road.

For the student teams competing at Autodromo di Varano de' Melegari, this is exactly the kind of expertise that sits behind the scenes of every race car. Every sensor, control unit and line of embedded code has to be designed, tested and validated before a car can safely reach the track.

Bylogix's presence at the event connects the technical challenges faced by Formula SAE Italy teams with the same engineering discipline applied every day across the automotive industry.

πŸ“Œ Last week, we held a training session for our new Technical Inspectors at Politecnico di Torino. πŸ€“

β˜€οΈ During the morning session, our Technical Inspection Managers presented the latest regulatory updates and provided an overview of the key aspects to consider during inspections, ensuring a consistent understanding of the requirements and best practices. πŸ’‘ πŸ”Ž
πŸŒ‡ In the afternoon, participants put theory into practice through a simulated inspection, analyzing checklists and engaging in interactive discussions on different scenarios and approaches. πŸ‘€ πŸ“

🀝A special thank you goes to our Technical Inspection Managers, Silvio La Tassa, Simone Di Pierro and Nicola Tertulliani, and Luca Veneroso, for their valuable support and dedication. ❀️‍πŸ”₯

πŸ™ We would also like to thank all the new Technical Inspectors who will be joining this year's event and chose to dedicate a day to improving their skills to help provide an even better experience for all the teams. πŸš€
πŸ”₯ Many of them were part of FS teams until recently and got so passionate about the competition that they decided to continue their journey by joining β€œthe other side” of the event. This makes us incredibly proud of the community we are building together. 🫢

πŸ™Œ Finally, our sincere thanks to Politecnico di Torino for their hospitality and collaboration.

Once again, thank you to everyone who took part in the training! We're looking forward to seeing you all at the event! 🀩 ✨
