Scienza fuori dall'aula: la 1IB al Lago di Alice 🔬🏞️

Per il Collaborative Science Project, gli studenti della VIS hanno lasciato i banchi e raggiunto il Lago di Alice Superiore, in Val Chiusella. Campioni d'acqua raccolti direttamente sul lago, dati alla mano, e poi in laboratorio per le analisi: un progetto che intreccia le diverse scienze del Diploma Programme attorno a un unico caso di studio reale.

Science beyond the classroom: 1IB at Lake Alice. 🔬🏞️

For their Collaborative Science Project, our VIS students swapped their desks for the shores of Lago di Alice Superiore, in Val Chiusella. Water samples collected straight from the lake, data in hand, then off to the lab for analysis: a project that weaves together the different Diploma Programme sciences around one real case study.

Tre tappe, una grande chiusura d'anno alla Primaria. 🏔️📚🛒

Le terze hanno respirato l'aria del Gran Paradiso a Ceresole Reale, tra la diga e un'escursione nel Parco.

Le quinte sono state a Verona, sulle tracce della civiltà romana e del mito di Romeo e Giulietta, fino ai capilettera miniati della Biblioteca Capitolare. Ma l'emozione più grande è stata l'incontro con 18 dei nostri pen friends e i loro insegnanti, arrivati apposta per noi dalla Lituania. 🎉

Le prime e le seconde hanno scoperto che la matematica vive anche tra gli scaffali del supermercato, tra conti, resti e stime con un piccolo budget in mano.

Tre modi diversi di imparare fuori dall'aula, e salutare insieme la fine dell'anno.

Three stops, one big end-of-year finale at our Primary School. 🏔️📚🛒

The Year 3 classes breathed in the Gran Paradiso air at Ceresole Reale, between the dam and a hike in the Park. The Year 5 classes flew to Verona, following the trail of Roman civilisation and the myth of Romeo and Juliet, all the way to the illuminated initials of the Capitular Library. But the most special moment was meeting 18 of our pen friends and their teachers, who travelled all the way from Lithuania just for us. 🎉

And the Year 1 and 2 classes discovered that maths lives among the supermarket shelves too — counting, working out change and estimating totals with a small budget in hand.

Three different ways of learning beyond the classroom, and celebrate the end of the year together.

Vittoria Cup 2026 — il team Aquila solleva il trofeo! 🏆

La cerimonia finale ha chiuso un anno di sfide tra casate: i discorsi del preside, di Mrs. Droz e dei professori capitani, l'intermezzo musicale dei ragazzi e il riconoscimento alla redazione del giornalino, premiata con l'abbonamento a Internazionale Junior.

Poi le parole dei ragazzi di 3^ media ai loro compagni: incoraggiamento, responsabilità e la prova che la Vittoria Cup sa unire studenti di classi e anni diversi.

E per finire, tutti in cortile: aperitivo, dj-set, pizzette e festeggiamenti. 🎶

The final ceremony wrapped up a year of house challenges: speeches from the headmaster, Mrs. Droz and the team captains, a musical interlude by our students, and a special award for the school newspaper team, who received a subscription to Internazionale Junior.

Then came the heartfelt speeches from our Year 8 students to their schoolmates: words of encouragement and responsibility, proof that the Vittoria Cup truly brings together students across classes and years.

To top it all off: aperitivo in the courtyard, dj-set, snacks and celebrations. 🎶

🌲 Due giorni nel bosco, una prima volta da ricordare.

I bambini dei 5 anni hanno vissuto la loro prima avventura con il pernottamento al di Castagneto Po: pony, tiro con l'arco, percorsi sensoriali a piedi nudi, costruzione di rifugi nel bosco — e un falò con marshmallow per chiudere la prima serata.

Il secondo giorno, tra il parco avventura e il laboratorio di falegnameria, ognuno è tornato a casa con un oggetto in legno fatto con le proprie mani.

Il modo migliore per salutare la scuola dell'infanzia.

🌲 Two days in the woods, a first time to remember.

Our 5-year-olds lived their first overnight adventure at Rachel's Learning Centre in Castagneto Po: ponies, archery, barefoot sensory trails, den building — and a campfire with marshmallows to close the first evening.

On day two, between the adventure park and a woodcraft workshop, every child headed home with a handmade wooden keepsake.

The best way to say goodbye to preschool.

🏺 Egizi e Fenici, tra storia e tintura.

Nell'ultimo laboratorio dell'anno, le classi 4ª primaria hanno accolto un'ospite speciale: la mamma di Lynne B., che ha insegnato ai bambini a tingere le magliette di rosso — proprio come facevano le antiche civiltà del Mediterraneo.

🏺 Egyptians and Phoenicians, between history and dye.

For their last workshop of the year, the 4th grade classes welcomed a special guest: Lynne B.'s mom, who taught the children how to dye fabric in red — just as the ancient Mediterranean civilisations once did.

L'anno scorso, terzo posto. Quest'anno, sul palco 💙

Emma R. e Gaia N., classe 3b del Liceo Vittoria, sono state a Milano per l'inspirational talk alla Changemaker Competition 2026 di — il progetto BCorpSchool che porta le scuole a ragionare da azienda responsabile.

Un riconoscimento che viene da lontano, e che continua a crescere.
