Oggi parleremo di: calendari e stagioni dell'anno.

A year = un anno -> years = anni (plu).
A month = un mese -> months = mesi (plu.)
A week = una settimana -> weeks = settimane (plu.)
A day = un giorno -> days = giorni (plu.)
A season = una stagione -> seasons = stagioni (plu.)

There are 12 (twelve) months in 1 year (one; a).
Ci sono 12 (dodici) mesi in 1 anno (uno; un).

There are 4 (four) weeks in 1 month (one; a).
Ci sono 4 (quattro) settimane in 1 anno (uno; un).

There are 7 (seven) days in 1 week (one; a).

As promised, I present to you the game of "Snakes and Ladders (board game, to be printed if interested).

There can be up to 4 players (any more and the bord may get too crowded ;) ).

You will need:

- Up to 4 playing pieces - (one for every player) (Best if the pieces are different one from the other).

- One dice - (traditional/numerical face)

With each roll of the dice, you move your piece according to the number indicated on the dice face with which you are presented.

The aim of the game is to reach the last square at the top of the board (square n° 100) before any of the other players.

But, be careful! The snakes are always lying in wait.

If your piece lands on a square where a snake has its head, then you will fall down the snakes' body and tail all the way to the square in which the tail ends.

The longer the snake, the further down the board you end up.

But... don't despair.

For the ladders are there to help you reach the top again.

If your piece ends up on a square where a ladder begin (bottom of a ladder) then you get tp climb the ladder alla the way up to where it ends (top of the ladder).

One round, every player gets to roll the dice once.
One round lasts until the player who rolled first gets to roll again.

Ecco a voi il gioco di "Snakes and Ladders" (gioco da tavola, da stampare per chi fosse interessato).

Ci possono giocare fino a 4 persone (di più e diventa un po' troppo affollato ;) )

Avrete bisogno di:

- Fino a 4 Tessere/tasselli - (uno per ogni giocatore) (meglio se i tasselli/le tessere sono tutte diverse tra loro)

- Un dado - (a facciata tradizionale/numerica).

Ogni tiro di dado, si sposta il proprio tassello del numero di spazi indicato sulla facciata.

l'Obiettivo è di arrivare in cima alla tabella (quadrato n° 100) prima degli altri giocatori.

Ma... attenzione ai serpenti in agguato! ;)

Se il vostro tassello finisce su un quadrato dove v'è la testa di uno serpente, sarete costretti a scendere lungo il corpo e la coda del serpente fino a quadro dove finisce la sua coda.

Più lungo il serpente... più in giù dovrete tornare.

Ma non scoraggiatevi!

Ci sono le scale ad aiutarvi. :)

Se il vostro tassello finisce su un quadrato dove v'è la parte più bassa di una scala, potete salire lungo la scale fino al quadro in cui vi porta.

Un tiro di dado per ogni giocatore per ogni giro.

Un giro va dal giocatore che ha tirato per primo fino a quando non gli tocca di nuovo ti**re.

I present another excercise on the pronounciation of English "combined consonants".

The following excercise is aimed on improving our "sh" sound.

In English, the sound of "sh" = sounds just like the italian "sc".

An instructory video has been uploaded (same date).

For those of you who may be interested, I have translated the verse below.

"She sells sea-shells by the seashore.
The shells she sells are surely seashore shells.
So if she sells sea-shells by the seashore,
They are seashore shells I'm sure."

Vi presento un'altro esercizio sulla pronuncia dei famosi "consonanti combinati" inglesi.

Il seguente esercizio mira al miglioramento di pronuncia della "sh".

In inglese - il suono della "sh" = equivale al suono dello "sc" italiano.

Immediatamente successivo a questo post, troverete un video istruttorio (recante stessa data).

Per coloro che fossero interessati, ho fornito anche la traduzione (in Italiano) della strofa.

"Lei vende conchiglie marine in riva al mare.
Le conchiglie che lei vende saranno sicuramente di mare.
Quindi, se lei vende conchiglie marine in riva al mare, sono sicuro che sono conchiglie marine."

I know that we all probably hoped to spend Easter differently.
But my thoughts reach out to all of you, as I hope that, nonetheless, you are all doing well and are happy and healthy.

So decorate some eggs! Have a family easter egg hunt in the garden or even in the house! Share a special meal with your families! Watch your favourite film!....

As my English father would say... "Let's play the best hand that we can, with the cards which we have been dealt" 😎

In modo da permetterci di riabracciare quei parenti e quegli amici da cui, ahimè, ci siamo trovati separati (anche se solo fisicamente) e che potremmo tornare a vivere le nostre vite senza timore del virus.

So che, probabilmente, speravate di passare questo weekend di Pasqua in altro modo.
I miei pensieri vanno a tutti voi e spero che, nonostante gli impedimenti imposti ma necessari di questo periodo, voi possiate comunque passare una Buona Pasqua, al sicuro, in salute ed allegro, con le vostre famiglie.

Quindi... dai. Niente musi lunghi.
Decorate delle uova! Organizzate una Caccia al Tesoro in giardino o, magari, anche in casa! Fate una cena speciale di famiglia! Guardate il vostro film preferito!...

Come dice mio padre (molto British)... Cerchiamo di giocare la partita miglior possibile con le carte che ci sono state date. 😎

I hope that I find you all well and safe, considering the continuation of the coronavirus epidemic.

In order to provide some sort of continuity to our course (non to mention, give you something different to do during this quarantine) whilst we wait to be able to recover our lost lessons in person, I have prepared another paper and video for those who may be interested. :)

Proviamo a perfezionare un po' il suono aguzzo della "t" inglese 😉
Allo stesso tempo, divertendoci un po'.

Questo sarà sicuramente divertimento per tutta la famiglia.

Se desiderate altre scioglilingua, di aiuto nell'imparare a pronunciare i consonanti combinati in inglese, commentate e pubblicherò altri post come questi.

For those of you who may be interested (and if you have sore bones, like myself).
Postural gymnastics with my collegue, Sharon.
Just because we're all in lockdown doesn't mean that we can't keep ourselves moving.
Quite the opposite!
Regular excercise and harmonic movement helps boost and mantain the immune system.
Don't forget to drink water before and after.

P.s. Personally, I loved the partecipation of her cat and dog.

Salve e buongiorno a tutti...

Il contenuto di questo post = contenuto di una lezione.

A tutti i miei ragazzi e a tutti coloro che fossero interessati, ho pensato che oggi potremo fare una cosa simpatica.

Dato questo periodo preoccupante e di quarantena, tenere alto il morale e divertirci può essere difficile.

Serve qualcosa per tenere su il morale 😉

Sotto vi ho messo una simpaticissima canzone, scritto da famoso gruppo musicale inglese: I Beatles.
Potremmo chiamarlo un inno all'amore, alla speranza e alle possibilità.
Non solo, ma si tratta di una bellissima canzone (dal testo non difficile) da cantare insieme (alla vostra famiglia, ai vostri genitori, ecc.)

In più, se dovessimo tenere in programma un concerto fine primavera/estivo, questa è la canzone che ho scelto come nostra partecipazione (tutti sono benvenuti 😉 ).
E, come sappiamo, ogni concerto/spettacolo necessita di un po' di preparazione.

Ma, al dì là di quello... si tratta di una bella attività da fare durante questo periodo di quarantena, per alzare un po' il morale di chi ci sta intorno e scongiurare la noia (so che il mio ragazzo si sta divertendo un mondo con me a cantare questa canzone 🙂 ).

Hello and Good-day to everyone...

To all of my kiddos and to all those who may be interested, I thought that today we could do something fun.

Given this worrying situation of imposed quarantine, it can be difficult to keep our spirits high and have fun.

We need something with which to boost our mood!

Below, I have posted a nice, bouncy and fun song, written by famous english rock group: The Beatles.
I guess that we could call it a hymn to love, hope and possibilities.
Not only, but it is also a lovely song to sing all together (with your parents, with your families, etc.).

Also, should we stil be able to have and end of Spring/Summer concert, this is the song which I have chosen as our contribution (of course, all are welcome in joining in 😉 ).

But (setting the possibility of a concert aside), it's simply a fun little activity do do during the quarantine, to keep our spirits and those around us high and boredom away (I know that my boyfriend is having fun singing this song with me 🙂 ).

Cari Genitori

Dopo aver conferito nuovamente con i miei colleghi, non siamo certi su come meglio continuare le attività per la 2° classe del mercoledì.

Perciò, mi rivolgo a voi genitori, e vi chiedo di contribuire un voto per ciascun alunno su come reputate meglio organizzarci.

Reputate che il materiale fornito ed i video caricati siano abbastanza accessibili e sufficienti per i vostri figli? O preferite recuperare le ore p***e frontalmente una volta sollevata la quarantena (tenendo conto che è quasi certa che verrà prorogata) e durante i mesi estivi?
