Some achievements belong to individuals; others belong to a team. Today, I want to speak about the latter.

Receiving this recognition at the presented by confirms that we are moving in the right direction and encourages us to continue raising our standards in pursuit of excellence.

I am deeply grateful for the work that my team and I continue to build every day through The . Behind every course, workshop, and training program lies research, collaboration, dedication, and a constant commitment to raising the standard of education in the world of perfumery.

Our mission goes far beyond supporting fragrance enthusiasts who wish to explore the art of perfume creation. Increasingly, we work with professionals and companies who need to optimize their working methods, refine their technical expertise, and strengthen their fragrance composition and development processes.

We believe that education should be a practical tool for growth—a bridge between creativity, sensory science, and professional expertise. This multidisciplinary approach enables us to support both individuals and organizations in developing stronger skills, more effective strategies, and a deeper understanding of the fragrance industry.

We will continue investing in the culture of perfumery, in the quality of education, and in the people who make this journey meaningful. Because the future of our industry depends not only on creativity, but also on the ability to share knowledge, develop talent, and build excellence together.

The Perfume Experience session, which was held in the previous days, was designed as a journey to explore the fragrance supply chain and gain a deeper understanding of its key components. Throughout the sessions, participants were introduced to the main raw materials used in perfumery, learning to recognize their olfactory characteristics, as well as the main olfactory families and traditional accords.

A perfumer should always process their own raw materials. Perhaps not all of them and not all the time, as the industry clearly solves many issues related to availability and consistency in molecular composition and quality. However, processing a raw material takes you back in time—much like the master perfumers of the past who, despite having fewer tools, were often able to connect more deeply with the material and its essence, evolving and transforming together with it.

The Made in Italy Day represented a special opportunity to present our new wheel and our blends, with the aim of promoting a more refined and structured approach to coffee tasting. During the event, we delivered a training course that laid the foundations for developing and sharing a professional technique for coffee sensory analysis. In this context, we focused on how to properly evaluate espresso through a more conscious and repeatable tasting method. A key moment of the day was the introduction of our new Sensory Wheel, unveiled for the first time as a tool designed to support this approach. The wheel is inspired by methodologies used in the world of perfumery and has been adapted to the coffee sector in order to better interpret aromatic complexity. This initiative represents an important step in bridging craftsmanship, scientific approach, and the culture of Italian espresso.

The creation of a signature scent is intrinsically connected to, and developed from, the concept of brand identity. This goes beyond working on a single product category, or even multiple ones, to build a representative fragrance. Instead, it is based on the idea that a scent, in all its components, should embody and express the essence of a reality, and more specifically, of a corporate brand.
Team and leadership values, mission, vision, brand essence, heritage, and overall corporate identity are just some of the key factors considered when structuring the olfactory pyramid, regardless of the product category that the fragrance will ultimately be applied to.
My role as a perfumer is to go beyond what is merely perceptible through the senses, synthesizing all the essential elements in order to make an emotion tangible. The goal is to create an immediate bond, when the connection between olfactory receptors and fragrance molecules occurs, allowing individuals to feel part of that reality, or rather, to fully experience it.

In our courses, we believe it is essential to build a strong technical foundation while always leaving space for creative expression. Today, perfumery is richer than ever, with countless methodologies and increasingly experimental approaches. Yet, starting from a clear and solid base allows perfumers to later combine techniques and explore different ways of working with raw materials.

Two historic approaches perfectly illustrate how technique can shape the character of a fragrance.

The French method works with natural raw materials that are already diluted at different levels. Perfumers can refine and balance every nuance of a composition, sculpting the fragrance with remarkable precision and elegance.

The English method follows a different philosophy. Raw materials are used in their pure, undiluted form during the creation of the perfume, and alcohol is added only once the composition is complete. The result is often a fragrance that feels softer, simpler and more restrained.
