We are proud to announce the acquisition and relocation to Trieste of Mirtillo, an exceptional German-crafted harpsichord based in Cremona. Named by our Junior Department students after the shepherd-poet in Handel’s Il Pastor Fido, Mirtillo will play a central role in our 2026 Baroque Opera Studios and young-artist masterclasses.

This remarkable instrument embodies our unwavering commitment to artistic excellence and to historically informed performance practice in Baroque opera - serving both as a pedagogical cornerstone and as an inspiring voice for the next generation of artists.

We’re thrilled to welcome to our Opera Studio 2026, where she will perform the role of Sesto in Giulio Cesare! 🌟

A Vancouver-based mezzo-soprano, Anastasia holds her MMus in Opera and Voice Performance from McGill University. Her recent performances include Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel with the Berlin Opera Academy, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Opera NUOVA, and Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte with the Vienna Opera Festival. She also participated in Opera Kelowna’s VOSI Program.

Offstage, Anastasia is an aesthete and traveler who loves history and science books - and enjoys horseback riding. 🐎✨

🎭 TITLE ROLE ANNOUNCEMENT 🤍
 We are thrilled to announce that the talented countertenor .countertenor will perform the title role of Cesare in our Opera Studio 2026 production of Giulio Cesare in Egitto by G.F. Händel!

✨ With his magnetic voice and commanding stage presence, Gleb will bring to life the power, passion, and complexity of one of Handel’s most iconic characters.

🎶 A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Gleb has already established himself as a versatile artist across baroque and modern repertoire. His roles include Unulfo (Rodelinda), Arsamene (Serse), Ottone (Agrippina, L’Incoronazione di Poppea), Pisandro (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria), and Oberon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) — showcasing his remarkable range and expressive artistry.

Beyond the stage, Gleb is also one of today’s leading classical music influencers, engaging over 30,000 followers on Instagram and inspiring new audiences through his creative approach to opera and digital storytelling.

We’re thrilled to announce that will be joining the Cesare Opera Studio as Cornelia! 🎶
With her warm, rare, and distinctive voice, Priscilla-Ann is a passionate artist dedicated to both performance and teaching. A graduate of McGill University, the Université de Montréal, and the Université Laval, she is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Classical Voice Performance at Université Laval.
Her recent performances include solo appearances in sacred works such as Vivaldi’s Gloria and Magnificat, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, and Mozart’s Requiem. On stage, she has created notable roles including Rose (Messe solennelle pour une pleine lune d’été, 2023), the Old Lady (Treize à la douzaine, 2024), and Madame T. au Jasmin (La Brigade Opéra, Festival d’opéra de Québec 2025).

From the stage of Teatro Rossetti in productions including Evita and Magazzino 18 to writing her own songs, Angela is a versatile and experienced singer-songwriter. With degrees in Communication and Performing Arts (Trieste) and Italian Studies (Udine), she now brings her passion and experience to OperUs’ Jr faculty, starting October 2025 🎶
