At Sant’Anna we strive to provide students from across the world a unique, hands-on learning experience where they can cultivate real world skills and knowledge. Because the school is located in Sorrento, one of the most harmonious cities southern Italy has to offer, our students are truly able to gain a global awareness and appreciate diversity while studying abroad. Our goal is to help guide participating students into becoming responsible, open-minded members of society. Our hope is that each student can leave Sant’Anna with an appreciation of the Italian culture as well as the knowledge acquired through their academic courses. We are so passionate about the importance of international education and training in a student’s academic career, and we are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to providing students with a life changing experience

This is interdisciplinary learning at Sant’Anna Institute 🎨🇮🇹

Our Drawing on Location students visited the Cloisters of San Francesco during “TREASURE,” an exhibition by artist Margherita Grasselli presented by SyArt Gallery where they sketched and observed the artist at work.

The experience also connected with our International Internship Program, as Elon University student Peyton is completing her Communications internship at SyArt Gallery and helped promote the exhibition.

One exhibition connecting academics, internships, local art, and the Sorrento community. 🤍

Fall 2026, one week complete at Sant’Anna Institute! 🇮🇹

We welcomed more than 250 students to Sorrento with orientation, internship preparation, a Fall Welcome Lunch, and so much more to get you our students settled in Sorrento!

Throughout the semester, students have access to international internships, career support and mentoring, professional development, experiential learning, cultural activities, and dedicated staff to support them along the way.

We’re excited to have our Fall 2026 students here and look forward to the semester ahead. Benvenuti a Sant’Anna! 🤍

Through our Growing Together initiative, Sant’Anna Institute students joined children participating in the summer camp program at a local elementary school, Istituto Santa Maria delle Grazie, for a day of games, storytelling, creative workshops, and English-language activities.

These experiences go beyond language learning. They build empathy, foster intercultural understanding, and strengthen the connection between our students and the Sorrento community.

Because at Sant’Anna Institute, education is about more than what happens in the classroom.
