It was a pleasure to take part in the 6th Course of the International School of Materials for Sustainable Development and Energy – Innovative Materials and Architectures for Photovoltaics (11–15 July 2026) at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture in Erice.

R²ES Lab was pleased to contribute through a lecture by Maria Laura Parisi, presenting our research on sustainability and advanced materials for photovoltaics.

Many thanks to the School Director Antonio Terrasi and the Course Directors Delli Veneri and Di Carlo for the excellent organization, and to all the lecturers and participants for the valuable discussions and exchange of ideas.

Looking forward to future collaborations!

📍We are pleased to be attending the Joint 51st Congress of the Division of Physical Chemistry of the Società Chimica Italiana

👏👏👏As part of the SOLE-H2 project, Matteo Farina presented a poster on our upcoming work combining molecular dynamics and DFT calculations about novel photocatalytical systems for green hydrogen production in DES.

The congress continues to be a valuable opportunity for scientific and professional growth, and stimulating discussions within the physical chemistry community.

🎉 New publication from R2ESLab!

We are excited to share our latest paper, now published in the Journal of Cleaner Production.

Our study presents a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) comparing single-use and stainless-steel bioreactor systems for biopharmaceutical protein production, providing new insights into the environmental trade-offs of these two manufacturing approaches and supporting more sustainable decision-making in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Many thanks to all co-authors and collaborators for making this work possible!

BIOECONOMY DAY 2026 - 28 maggio 2026
