Giovedì 27 agosto Palazzo delle Papesse apre le sue porte per una nuova serata tra arte e musica, con "Così va chi tropp'ama e troppo crede", insieme a SienAgosto Music Academy e in collaborazione con Siena Art Institute.

Dalle 18:00 alle 21:30, visita guidata, aperitivo e concerto per vivere gli spazi di Palazzo delle Papesse in un’atmosfera speciale.

On Saturday August 22nd, the students of the SienAgosto Academy will liven up the Siena Art Institute with their voices.

The event will begin at 17:00 with a visit of the Hidden Garden, a nature walk that will lead directly to the place where the students will perform. The performance will be followed by an aperitivo, an opportunity for the audience and musicians to mingle and get to know one another.

Join us for an evening filled with nature, music, and community!

L’evento inizierà alle 17:00 con una visita al Giardino Nascosto, una passeggiata nella natura che condurrà direttamente al luogo dove i ragazzi si esibiranno. A seguire un piccolo aperitivo come momento di scambio e incontro tra il pubblico e i musicisti.

From August 19 to 28, 2026, SienAgosto returns: the prestigious summer music academy hosted by the Siena Art Institute, coordinated by Valeria Indice and directed by the countertenor Michael Chance.

Siena will become a stage where students, faculty and audiences come together to share the experience of music.

As every year, all concerts will be free and open to the public:

Thanks to the collaboration with the Valdimontone contrada, the concert offers the opportunity to hear international artists whose voices and music will bring to life a magnificent place deeply rooted in Siena’s cultural heritage.

We were delighted to welcome these students, and we hope we helped create meaningful memories that will last.

Applications are now open for the Siena Art Institute's 2027 Residency Program. Artists and writers from around the world, working across all disciplines, are invited to apply through the application form in the 𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕/𝒂 𝑾𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓? section on our website.

The Residency Program provides selected residents with:

- A private Studio at SART
- Uninterrupted time to focus on personal research and artistic production
- The opportunity to work in an open community and in a city rich in history and artistic heritage

Residents are invited to contribute to the cultural life of the Institute by organising open studios, performances, workshops, and other opportunities for dialogue and creative learning.

Lunedì 29 giugno alle 17:30 torna StARTer a Palazzo delle Papesse.

Un nuovo appuntamento dedicato all’incontro con gli artisti del Pratt Institute di Brooklyn, New York, per entrare da vicino nei linguaggi, nelle ricerche e nei processi creativi della contemporaneità.

Protagonista del terzo incontro sarà Suneil Sanzgiri, artista e filmmaker in residenza grazie alla collaborazione tra SART e il Pratt Institute, che presenterà al pubblico la sua ricerca artistica, i suoi progetti e il percorso che dà forma al suo lavoro.

Un dialogo aperto, pensato come occasione di confronto e scoperta, nel cuore di Palazzo delle Papesse.

Today our students from Ohio enjoyed a day trip filled with history and art: a walking tour through the medieval town center and an inspiring visit to Galleria Continua 🎨

We are happy to welcome our students from Ohio to the SART community! ✨

This academic and artistic journey has begun: a course that offers the opportunity to refine artistic, sustainable, and intercultural skills while exploring the cityscapes and cultural heritage of Siena.

This program is organised by the University of Ohio State in collaboration with the Siena Art Institute. SART provides not only artistic spaces for collaborative and immersive technical and conceptual training, but also skills and knowledge, allowing the two realities to meet and enrich each other.
