Erasmus+ Brings New Ideas for Cultural Heritage to Spoleto

The recent Erasmus+ mobility in Andalusia, Spain has brought back valuable inspiration for the future of Spoleto.

During the training experience, the delegation explored innovative approaches to cultural heritage conservation, sustainable tourism, urban planning, and the management of UNESCO sites, exchanging good practices with Spanish public institutions and cultural organisations.

Among the most interesting ideas were digital systems for monitoring and maintaining historic centres, sustainable tourism strategies, and innovative restoration techniques that could inspire future initiatives in Spoleto.

This experience once again demonstrates how Erasmus+ is not only about mobility, but also about learning, international cooperation, and bringing new knowledge back to local communities.

IPSSEOA Assisi Students and Tutors in Caen!

From 13 to 30 July 2026, 20 talented students and 2 accompanying tutors from Istituto Professionale per i servizi alberghieri - Assisi embarked on an exciting 18-day Erasmus+ mobility experience in Caen, Normandy, hosted by our trusted local partner Normandie-Go.

Part of the project "ASSISI sustainable international hub in hotel and catering sector", this mobility provided students with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on professional experience in the culinary, bakery, waiting, and reception sectors.

Throughout the programme, young aspiring chefs, bakers, waiters, and receptionists immersed themselves in the French hospitality industry, enhancing their practical skills, professional expertise, and intercultural communication in real-world settings.

Beyond their daily practical placements, the group explored the rich cultural heritage of Normandy, including an unforgettable cultural visit to the breathtaking Mont Saint-Michel!

Teachers and Staff from IIS "Casagrande - Cesi" in Chania

From 12 to 19 July 2026, 16 teachers and education professionals from Istituto Tecnico Economico e Professionale per i servizi “Casagrande Cesi” took part in an Erasmus+ staff mobility in Chania, Crete, hosted by our local partner Ciheam Maich Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh).

The programme focused on "AI and NLP Tools for Modern Educators", providing participants with innovative digital methodologies and advanced communication strategies to enhance teaching and student engagement.

Throughout the week, participants attended interactive workshops on Artificial Intelligence for Active and Mindful Teaching and The Coaching Way – NLP. Guided by expert trainers, educators explored prompt engineering, mindful lesson design, digital ethics, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques to boost classroom management, empathy, and leadership in multicultural educational settings.

The mobility also included a cultural visit to the stunning Falassarna Beach, offering participants the opportunity to discover one of Crete's most iconic coastal sites while strengthening intercultural dialogue, team spirit, and collaboration.

Istituto Alberghiero Assisi Staff in Split

From 17 to 27 July 2026, 20 teachers and school staff members from Istituto Istituto Professionale per i servizi alberghieri - Assisi took part in an Erasmus+ staff mobility in Split, Croatia, hosted by our local partner Platform 21. The programme focused on an intensive "English Language Course for School Teachers", designed to break down language barriers, enhance communication skills, and boost fluency through dynamic and interactive methodologies.

Throughout the week, participants immersed themselves in hands-on, game-based learning, interactive quizzes, and communicative drama activities led by native English trainers. The course provided educators with a unique opportunity to refresh their language skills, explore new pedagogical perspectives, and network with peers in a supportive multicultural environment.

The mobility also featured a guided walking tour through the historical heart of Split, where participants explored iconic UNESCO-protected heritage sites, including Diocletian's Palace and the Golden Gate, fostering intercultural dialogue and team cohesion.

From 19 to 26 July 2026, 23 teachers and education professionals from Bernardino di Betto - Liceo Artistico e Scuola Secondaria di primo grado Liceo Artistico Bernardino di Betto (Perugia) and Liceo Simone-Morea Liceo Statale San Benedetto di Conversano took part in an Erasmus+ staff mobility in Chania, Crete, hosted by our local partner Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh). The programme focused on European Key Soft Skills, providing educators with innovative methodologies to strengthen teaching, communication, and student engagement.

Throughout the week, participants attended workshops on Inclusion in Education and Team Building, CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), and The Coaching Way – NLP, exploring practical strategies to foster inclusion, improve classroom management, enhance communication, and promote active learning. The training encouraged the exchange of best practices among educators from different educational backgrounds, equipping participants with new tools to implement in their schools.

The mobility also included a cultural visit to the spectacular Elafonissi Beach, offering participants the opportunity to discover one of Crete's most iconic natural sites while strengthening intercultural dialogue and collaboration.

Teachers from Italy in Valencia

From 19 to 26 July 2026, 14 teachers and staff members from Istituto Alberghiero di Spoleto, IPSSEOA Massimo Alberini di Treviso, Ipseoa Carlo Porta Milano, and Istituto Alberghiero di Orvieto took part in an Erasmus+ staff mobility in Valencia, Spain, hosted by our local partner Esmovia - Training and Mobility. The training course, "4 C's: Creative, Collaborative, Critical and Communicative Teachers", focused on strengthening key competences for 21st-century education.

Throughout the week, participants explored practical methodologies to foster creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication in the classroom. The programme included workshops on Design Thinking, empathy, problem-solving, time management, public speaking, and innovative teaching strategies, providing educators with practical tools to bring back to their schools and share with colleagues and students.

The mobility also featured cultural activities, including a guided tour of Valencia and a boat trip, creating valuable opportunities for intercultural exchange and networking among participants.

Teachers and staff from Umbria and Treviso in Chania

From 18/19 to 25/26 July 2026, two groups of teachers and staff members from CNOS-FAP UMBRIA la scuola di Don Bosco and IPSSEOA Massimo Alberini di Treviso took part in Erasmus+ staff mobility programmes in Chania, Crete, hosted by our local partner Ciheam Maich Chania Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh). Together, 25 education professionals joined an intensive week of training focused on European Key Soft Skills.

Throughout the programme, participants attended workshops on coaching and NLP techniques, inclusion in education, team building, and CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning). The training encouraged collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of good practices among educators from different disciplines, providing practical tools to strengthen teaching and professional development.

The mobility also included a cultural visit to the breathtaking Elafonissi Beach, offering participants the opportunity to discover one of Crete's most iconic natural landscapes while fostering intercultural exchange and team spirit.
