Middle 2 students carried out an experiment exploring solubility by predicting whether different substances would dissolve in water.

Before starting, they made their hypotheses and discussed their reasoning. They then tested a range of substances including cocoa powder, yeast, oil and petroleum jelly - mixing each one with water to observe what would happen.

After the experiment, students recorded whether their predictions were correct and described the characteristics of the final solution.

A great hands-on way to develop observation skills, scientific thinking and the confidence to test ideas!

Our International High School science students carried out classic food tests to identify different nutrients in everyday foods.
They tested samples such as bread, cheese, mayonnaise, oranges, mandarins, and oil, using Benedict’s solution to detect sugars, the Biuret test for proteins, iodine for starch, and the ethanol test for lipids.
By observing colour changes and reactions, they discovered how simple chemical tests can reveal what food is made of. A great example of hands-on learning in the lab! 🧪

Mini Transition visited the Bergamo’s Botanic Garden at Astino! 🌿🌸

The children explored the beautiful gardens, seeing and smelling lots of different flowers and plants. It was a wonderful sensory experience and a chance to learn about nature up close.

We also discovered how animals see the world differently from us. The children were fascinated to learn about bees and how they see their surroundings in a completely different way! 🐝

A lovely day of exploring, learning, and connecting with nature. 🌱

What is Marketing? 📊

This morning our high school students had the opportunity to take part in an engaging workshop led by Nadja Ergina from the Swiss Business School.
Through activities and open discussions, students explored the world of business skills. It was a stimulating experience that allowed them to approach key marketing and business concepts in a practical way, developing tools that will support them both in their academic journey and in their future careers.
