🎼 On 1 July 2026, PlaceMUS XR took part in the "From 3D Data to XR Experiences" Forum, hosted at the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PCSS), bringing together researchers, cultural heritage professionals and technology experts from across Europe.

🤝 During the event, 3D Research, one of the project partners, presented PlaceMUS XR through dedicated posters and networking activities, contributing to discussions on the future of immersive technologies for cultural heritage.

🌍 How can historical musicology become more connected with Europe's digital research ecosystem?

📖 🌐 The new open-access publication Historical Musicology and European Research Infrastructures and Initiatives: A Practical Guide and Strategic Integration Framework examines how major European research infrastructures—including the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH/ECHOES), EOSC, DARIAH ERIC and E-RIHS ERIC—can support the digitisation, interoperability, preservation and long-term reuse of musicological knowledge.

🎵 Rather than focusing only on technologies, the publication proposes a strategic framework showing how research infrastructures can strengthen collaboration, data sharing and sustainable access to Europe's musical heritage.

🤝 This perspective is closely aligned with the vision of PlaceMUS XR, which contributes to the development of innovative digital environments for documenting, exploring and experiencing Europe's musical heritage within the broader ECCCH ecosystem.

🏛 On 9 June 2026, PlaceMUS XR was presented during the second edition of iMARS – Journey into the Future of Cultural Heritage, hosted at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale Reggio Calabria.

🎤 During the session "Digital Systems and Immersive Technologies for Cultural Heritage: Experiences and Perspectives", Marco C***a (3D Research s.r.l.) showcased how PlaceMUS XR is contributing to the development of innovative, participatory and immersive digital solutions for Europe's musical heritage.

💡 The presentation highlighted the project's user-centred approach, demonstrating how Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and rich multimedia environments can support new ways of exploring, sharing and experiencing cultural heritage while strengthening audience engagement.
