🌊 Convegno | Aggiornamento delle analisi di supporto al Piano di Difesa Integrata delle Coste del Lazio

Il Gruppo di Ingegneria Costiera di Roma Tre (Giorgio Bellotti, Claudia Cecioni, Alessandro Romano e Matteo Centorami) presenterà le attività di ricerca sviluppate in collaborazione con la Regione Lazio a supporto della pianificazione e della gestione della difesa costiera.

L’iniziativa si inserisce nell’Accordo di Cooperazione Istituzionale tra il Dipartimento e la Regione Lazio, finalizzato allo sviluppo di analisi scientifiche per il Piano di Difesa Integrata delle Coste del Lazio.

Il convegno riunirà le Amministrazioni dei Comuni costieri del Lazio, professionisti e imprese del settore, offrendo un’importante occasione di confronto tra ricerca, istituzioni e mondo professionale.

🌊 Conference | Update on the Scientific Analyses Supporting the Integrated Coastal Defense Plan of the Lazio Region

The Coastal Engineering Group at Roma Tre University (Giorgio Bellotti, Claudia Cecioni, Alessandro Romano and Matteo Centorami) will present the latest research carried out in collaboration with the Lazio Region to support coastal planning and management.

The conference is part of the Institutional Cooperation Agreement between the Department and the Lazio Region, aimed at developing scientific analyses to support the Integrated Coastal Defense Plan of the Lazio Region.

The event will bring together representatives of all Lazio coastal municipalities, professionals and companies working in coastal engineering, providing an important opportunity for dialogue between research, public institutions and industry.

Cosa significa davvero studiare al DICITA dell’Università degli Studi di Roma Tre?
Significa non fermarsi ai libri, ma vivere la tecnologia da vicino, tra storia, innovazione e futuro dell’aviazione. ✈️
Nei giorni scorsi abbiamo avuto il privilegio di partecipare a una visita didattica presso l’AVES (Aviazione dell’Esercito) a Viterbo, portando i nostri studi direttamente sul campo.
Durante la giornata abbiamo potuto:
• esplorare il museo storico, ripercorrendo l’evoluzione dell’aviazione militare
• osservare da vicino elicotteri operativi, salire a bordo e analizzare cockpit e strumentazione
• assistere al funzionamento di simulatori di volo avanzati e alle metodologie di addestramento dei piloti
Esperienze come questa raccontano al meglio il valore del nostro percorso: vedere modelli ed equazioni trasformarsi in macchine reali. È qui che nasce il ponte tra teoria e pratica che caratterizza il DICITA. 🚀
Un sentito ringraziamento al Colonnello Fabio Bianchi e a tutto il personale AVES per l’accoglienza e la disponibilità, che hanno reso questa esperienza davvero significativa.

What does it really mean to study at DICITA, University Roma Tre?
It means going beyond textbooks and experiencing technology firsthand, between history, innovation, and the future of aviation. ✈️

In the past days, we had the privilege to visit the Italian Army Aviation (AVES) in Viterbo, bringing our studies directly into the field.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to:
• explore the historical museum and the evolution of military aviation
• observe operational helicopters, step onboard, and analyze cockpit systems
• experience advanced flight simulators and pilot training methodologies

Experiences like this highlight the true value of our program: turning equations and models into real machines. This is the bridge between theory and practice that defines DICITA. 🚀

Con la partecipazione di 40 aziende, il CV at Lunch ha offerto occasioni concrete di confronto, orientamento e dialogo diretto, confermandosi un appuntamento centrale nelle attività di orientamento in uscita e terza missione del nostro Dipartimento.
Un ringraziamento alle aziende partecipanti e a tutti gli studenti che hanno contribuito al successo dell’iniziativa, animando l’evento con interesse e entusiasmo.

With the participation of 40 companies, CV at Lunch fostered meaningful dialogue, career guidance and direct exchange, confirming its role as a key initiative within the Department’s career orientation and third mission activities.
We thank all the participating companies and students for contributing to the success of the event and to the quality of the discussions throughout the day.

E' stato pubblicato il bando del 42 ciclo di dottorato. Il dipartimento di ingegneria civile, Informatica e delle Tecnologie Aeronautiche dell'Università di Roma Tre è presente con ben 14 posti. Il dottorato in ingegneria civile ne ha ricevuti 5 di cui 2 dall'Ateneo, 3 dal progetto Europeo ( )..

The call for applications for the 42nd doctoral program cycle has been published. The Department of Civil Engineering, Computer Science, and Aeronautical Technologies at Roma Tre University is offering a total of 14 Positions. The doctoral program in civil engineering has been allocated 5 of these positions, 2 of which are funded by the university, 3 by the European project ( ).

We are waiting motivated and outstanding students that wants to shape the future.

Venerdì 12 giugno, il nostro Dipartimento ha avuto il piacere di ospitare la delegazione della Jiangsu Ocean University, composta da rappresentanti di vertice dell’Ateneo e della School of Civil and Ocean Engineering.

La visita, articolata tra tour dei laboratori e tavola rotonda con i docenti, ha rappresentato un’importante occasione di confronto su temi strategici dell'ingegneria civile, costiera e oceanica, quali strutture, infrastrutture, ingegneria ambientale e energie rinnovabili offshore.

Un sincero ringraziamento ai nostri ospiti per la visita e per i graditi doni, segno di attenzione e spirito di collaborazione.

Particolarmente significativo l’interesse manifestato verso i percorsi formativi in Ocean Engineering del nostro Ateneo, sviluppati presso la sede di Ostia.

L’incontro ha gettato le basi per future e proficue sinergie in ambito didattico e scientifico, rafforzando il ruolo della cooperazione internazionale come leva fondamentale per la crescita accademica.

On June 12, our Department had the pleasure of hosting the delegation from Jiangsu Ocean University, including senior representatives of the university and the School of Civil and Ocean Engineering.

The visit, featuring a laboratory tour and a round-table discussion with faculty members, provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas on strategic topics in civil, coastal and ocean engineering, including structures, infrastructure, environmental engineering, and offshore renewable energy.

We sincerely thank our guests for their visit and for the thoughtful gifts, a sign of their kindness and collaborative spirit.

Particular interest was shown in the Ocean Engineering degree programs offered at our Ostia campus.

The meeting laid the groundwork for future and fruitful cooperation in both education and research, strengthening the role of international collaboration as a key driver of academic growth.
