Ingegneria Civile, Informatica e delle Tecnologie Aeronautiche

Venerdì 12 giugno, il nostro Dipartimento ha avuto il piacere di ospitare la delegazione della Jiangsu Ocean University, composta da rappresentanti di vertice dell’Ateneo e della School of Civil and Ocean Engineering.

La visita, articolata tra tour dei laboratori e tavola rotonda con i docenti, ha rappresentato un’importante occasione di confronto su temi strategici dell'ingegneria civile, costiera e oceanica, quali strutture, infrastrutture, ingegneria ambientale e energie rinnovabili offshore.

Un sincero ringraziamento ai nostri ospiti per la visita e per i graditi doni, segno di attenzione e spirito di collaborazione.

Particolarmente significativo l’interesse manifestato verso i percorsi formativi in Ocean Engineering del nostro Ateneo, sviluppati presso la sede di Ostia.

L’incontro ha gettato le basi per future e proficue sinergie in ambito didattico e scientifico, rafforzando il ruolo della cooperazione internazionale come leva fondamentale per la crescita accademica.

On June 12, our Department had the pleasure of hosting the delegation from Jiangsu Ocean University, including senior representatives of the university and the School of Civil and Ocean Engineering.

The visit, featuring a laboratory tour and a round-table discussion with faculty members, provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas on strategic topics in civil, coastal and ocean engineering, including structures, infrastructure, environmental engineering, and offshore renewable energy.

We sincerely thank our guests for their visit and for the thoughtful gifts, a sign of their kindness and collaborative spirit.

Particular interest was shown in the Ocean Engineering degree programs offered at our Ostia campus.

The meeting laid the groundwork for future and fruitful cooperation in both education and research, strengthening the role of international collaboration as a key driver of academic growth.

✈️ Visita al Reparto Sperimentale di Volo – Aeronautica Militare

Giovedì scorso, gli studenti della Laurea Triennale in Ingegneria delle Tecnologie Aeronautiche e del Trasporto Aereo dell’Università Roma Tre hanno avuto l’opportunità di visitare il Reparto Sperimentale di Volo presso l’Aeroporto Militare di Pratica di Mare.

Accompagnati dal nostro collega Matteo Mancinelli, i ragazzi hanno potuto osservare da vicino attività, infrastrutture e tecnologie all’avanguardia impiegate nella sperimentazione aeronautica. Un’esperienza altamente formativa che ha permesso di collegare le conoscenze teoriche acquisite in aula con applicazioni reali nel settore.

Un sentito ringraziamento all’Aeronautica Militare per l’accoglienza e per aver condiviso competenze, passione e professionalità con i nostri studenti.

✈️ Visit to the Experimental Flight Test Department – Italian Air Force

Last Thursday, students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering Technologies and Air Transport at Roma Tre University visited the Experimental Flight Test Department at Pratica di Mare Air Base.

Accompanied by our colleague Matteo Mancinelli, the students had the opportunity to experience first-hand the activities, facilities, and cutting-edge technologies used in aeronautical testing.

This valuable experience helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications in the aerospace field.

We would like to thank the Italian Air Force for their warm welcome and for sharing their expertise and passion with our students.

👩‍🏫👷Ha preso il via il percorso di Formazione Scuola Lavoro (FSL) "Una settimana da universitario: introduzione all'ingegneria a Roma Tre".

🧑‍💻Per una settimana, 250 studenti da più di 20 scuole superiori vivranno un'esperienza immersiva nelle aule e negli spazi dell'Università Roma Tre, approfondendo le principali tematiche del Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Informatica e delle Tecnologie Aeronautiche (DICITA) e confrontandosi con docenti, ricercatori e studenti universitari.

Il percorso, coordinato dal punto di vista didattico dal Dott. Luca Bianchini Ciampoli, rappresenta un'importante occasione di orientamento, permettendo ai partecipanti di conoscere da vicino il mondo dell'ingegneria e la vita universitaria.

🫶“A Week as a University Student: Introduction to Engineering at Roma Tre" kicks off

👩‍🏫👷‍♂️The School-to-Work Training (FSL) program "A Week as a University Student: Introduction to Engineering at Roma Tre" has officially started.

👨‍💻For one week, 250 high school students will experience university life firsthand in the classrooms and facilities of Roma Tre University, exploring key topics covered by the of Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies (DICITA) and engaging with faculty members, researchers, and university students.

The program, academically coordinated by Dr. Bianchini Ciampoli, offers a valuable opportunity for students to discover the world of engineering and gain insight into future academic pathways.

🌊🏗️ Gli studenti dei corsi di Progetto di Opere Marittime e Coastal and Harbour Engineering – Sustainable Design hanno visitato i cantieri del porto di Civitavecchia, accompagnati dai professori Giorgio Bellotti, Alessandro Romano e Claudia Cecioni.
La visita ha permesso di osservare da vicino:
🔹 il prolungamento della diga antemurale Cristoforo Colombo mediante cassoni cellulari in calcestruzzo armato;
🔹 la nuova imboccatura portuale a sud;
🔹 la riorganizzazione del bacino portuale.
Per gli studenti, impegnati nella fase finale dei progetti sviluppati durante il corso, è stata un'importante occasione per confrontarsi con la progettazione e la realizzazione di una grande infrastruttura portuale.
Un sentito ringraziamento all’Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Centro Settentrionale e all’Ing. Stefano Lisi per l’accoglienza e la disponibilità.

🌊🏗️ Students attending the Maritime Structures Design and Coastal and Harbour Engineering – Sustainable Design courses visited the construction sites of the Port of Civitavecchia, accompanied by Professors Giorgio Bellotti, Alessandro Romano and Claudia Cecioni.
The visit provided a close look at:
🔹 the extension of the Cristoforo Colombo breakwater through reinforced-concrete cellular caissons;
🔹 the new southern harbour entrance;
🔹 the reorganization of the port basin.
For students currently completing their course projects, this was a valuable opportunity to experience the design and construction of a major port infrastructure firsthand.

🚀 Seminario: Launch Vehicle Control
“Power is nothing without control.”

Il Dipartimento invita al seminario Launch Vehicle Control, nell’ambito del corso di Astrodinamica della LM-20 in Ingegneria Aerospaziale e Astronautica.

Il seminario accompagnerà i partecipanti dai fondamenti dei sistemi lineari alla dinamica dei lanciatori, affrontando temi come modelli in spazio di stato, margini di stabilità, thrust vector control, modi flessibili, sloshing, load relief e robustezza alle incertezze.

A guidare l’incontro sarà Ing. Mirko Aveta, GNC Engineer e Attitude Orbit Control Platform Architect presso D-Orbit, con esperienza nel controllo di lanciatori e satelliti e già responsabile GNC del lanciatore Vega-E in AVIO.

🚀 Seminar: Launch Vehicle Control

The Department invites you to the seminar Launch Vehicle Control, part of the Astrodynamics course of the MSc programme in Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering.

The seminar will guide participants from the fundamentals of linear systems to launch vehicle dynamics, covering topics such as state-space models, stability margins, thrust vector control, flexible modes, sloshing, load relief and robustness to uncertainties.

The speaker will be Mirko Aveta, GNC Engineer and Attitude Orbit Control Platform Architect at D-Orbit, with experience in launcher and satellite control and former GNC lead for the Vega-E launcher at AVIO.

Gli studenti del corso di Idraulica di Ingegneria Civile e Ambientale hanno visitato la Control Room di ACEA ATO2 e il museo ACEA Heritage, accompagnati dalla Prof.ssa Claudia Adduce e dal Prof. Pietro Prestininzi. 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫

Un’esperienza formativa che ha permesso di vedere da vicino come le competenze studiate in aula vengano applicate nella gestione del servizio idrico integrato, tra infrastrutture, innovazione e responsabilità dell’ingegneria civile-ambientale. 🏗️🌍

Particolarmente significativo l’incontro con un ex studente di Ingegneria Civile, oggi ingegnere in ACEA, che ha ritrovato i suoi docenti nel proprio ambiente professionale: un esempio concreto del legame tra università e mondo del lavoro. 🎓🤝

La giornata si è conclusa al museo ACEA Heritage, alla scoperta della storia dell’azienda e del suo rapporto con la città di Roma. 🏛️📸

A particularly meaningful moment was the encounter with a former Civil Engineering student, now working as an engineer at ACEA, who met his former professors in his professional environment — a clear example of the connection between university education and the working world. 🎓🤝

The day concluded at the ACEA Heritage Museum, exploring the company’s history and its strong connection with the city of Rome. 🏛️📸
